eviling im sorry to hear all this bad news, but it doesnt concearn me i enjoy this style key and like i menetioned abovbe i truley am not a machanical believer, i believe in the physics of the switch not that it gives ANY advantage or inhibits your game play in any way shape or form and with the digital expansion to 10 possible keys as the same time, your litlery in the same exact classifcation as a black widdow or any other comprible gamer keyboard, a switch is not the end all be all answer for everybody, you should keep that in mind when giving feedback out, i never say nay about any featrue, just if its for me or not. perosnaly their isnt a feature id change on that board, i love the low profile keys. i type on a siderwinder x6 microsfto very low profile keys, no tilt bars and built in wrist wrest ALL very important features to me, far out reaching does it have machanical keys. see i'm a conciouse gamwer, i know i log COUNTLESS hours and i know this is horrible for my boddy in many ways, why pretend you cant do anything about it by using these super tall keys that develope carpetl tunel in 80% of high use users. i'm just saying, lets look at other things when comparing this board, its a very one sided bunching berage right now with no consideration for the other features. for the price, no those features aren't their, but your not paying the premium on the price for the keys. razer did this at 250$ which is prety close to cost compared to other products, just look at its brother the strike 7. they marked that baby right up to 300$ no quewstions asked. i suspect the same costs because of the cheaper screen on the strike 7. Pricing is interesting, to say the least. MadCatz is offering, arguably, a bit more. You don't get a USB hub on the Deathstalker, like the STRIKE 7. MadCatz offers 12 additional macro keys plus many profiles and numerious icons on the touchscreen to map into macros. In addition you also get 4 dedicated media keys. The Deathstalker has 5 dedicated macro keys. No media keys. You do get 10 extra dynamic adaptive tactile keys but those can only be assigned to launch programs, assume mouse functions, keyboard function...etc but cannot be remapped for macros. You're supposed to be able to set a wallpaper on the touchscreen. That would have been cool. Does not seem to work so far. I am hoping I just have the file size or type wrong, but I don't see anything that states this. I also want to change the homepage for the touschcreen browser app. This might not matter if I could set favorites for it. Alas, you can't do either, from what I can tell. Neither has very useful apps for their touch screen. But I did like the Teamspeak embed on the STRIKE. Also the notebook/journal app is very cool for quickly jotting down DayZ coordinates and such. I am torn really. The Razer Deathstalker looks better and more elegant to me. The STRIKE 7 looks like a toy. But it has more useful functions and features. The capacitive HD screen on the Deathstalker is much nicer and plays back video, shows a browser and youtube functions.

@ eviling If you like the new KB and mouse then I love it! What i mean is everyone has different taste and preferences. You can post all day and still not convince people on this forum. Bottom line for me is...the mouse is not my style. The keyboard I would love to have but for that kind of cash...it's going to be perfect for me or I'm not getting it. I love my mech keys and so do many gamers. I really don't know (beyond $$$) why the hell they didn't make it with mech keys?!? Also Synapse sucks plan and simple. Razer needs to fix it fast. Xanderf hit the nail on the head...whenever my kids get on their account. Synapse and my mouse software acts all stupid. No other software on my PC has problems with multiple accounts except Razer!

Razer may want to perfect one faulty software suite before moving on to something completely different.

I suppose really madcatz just puts such a massivly bad taste in my mouth. im sure just to get ahold of them for the comp for the review it took you weeks. ive honestly still not heard a single thing back from cyborg and i filled 7 tickets, called for weeks onloy to ever hear their system down. i mean would you buy a product from a company like this ? this is honestly what has me pissed at the strike 7. it is a master piece in one hand, and a novelty in the other. IE examples, that macro bar isnt as easy to click as it should be buttons are way to hard, the other macro keys around the arrow keys are usless unless you play with the number pad and the ones on the touch screen...well they work, but again are faulty becasue of the touch screen, i never hit the corner macros when tesitng them live in game. in fact i found none of the macro buttons usefull. the profiles, who plays that many games really? features are only useful if their realistic and practical. your absolutly right though, we can argue all day and night and i'l;l nevber convince you and you'll never convince me, but it's fun trying
