Hello!

I would like to enable g-sync on my setup but I can't see the g-sync option in NVIDIA Control panel. I've got a freesync enabled Iiyama ProLite XUB2792QSU monitor hooked thru DP to my EVGA GTX 1070 SC. I tried to reinstall drivers with the latest 419.35 but still no luck. Any suggestions?

Doesn't look like that monitor is compatible... https://www.nvidia.com/en...g-sync-monitors/specs/

Really? Maybe that's the problem. I'm still using Windows 7.

As far as I can tell, G-Sync is officially support with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 according to NVIDIA so it should work with your set up. https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync/faq

While your monitor is not on the official supported, list most of the time you should now be able to enable G-Sync on your monitor with the new update by NVIDIA.

    See if this helps,
    1. Go to your Windows Display Settings --> Display Properties --> Make sure that the refresh rate is set to whatever your monitor supports.
    • If for any reason you are unable to set the refresh rate to match up with your monitor. Check your monitor settings and ensure that the refresh rate is properly set.
    2. Then once you have done that, go to your Monitor Settings and enable FreeSync.
    3. Go to the NVIDIA control panel go to the G-Sync tab and you should see that G-Sync is an option that can be enabled or disabled.
    • You should see something like this but my recommendation would be to enable for Windowed and Full screen mode unless you run into flickering issues
    •
If you are still experiencing issues, open a new support ticket on your graphics card so that we can further assist you.

I found one article on reddit and I also found one statement from the nVidia which say that it works only on Win 10 :(

Well, it might be time to upgrade, sorry that we couldn't help you enable G-Sync but I hope this helps you make a decision on whether or not to upgrade.

Looking at the specs of your monitor. It is not a G-Sync monitor. It is a Freesync monitor which is AMD's version. You will not see the Gsync option available in the control panel. I don't believe this monitor is on Nvidias list of monitors that can be ran under their new Freesync compatible screens either.
