Hi all,

I hope you can help me with my query.

I currently have a EVGA 122-CK-NF68 nforce 680i SLI mainboard and would like to know if it is compatible with the following memory sticks:

Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 DHX Memory Kit Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5

or

Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Kit CL5 1.8v

Reason i am asking this question is because i recently lost 2 x 1gb corsair dominator memory sticks out of the 4 i had running and replacing them 'like for like' is proving difficult as they're raring than rocking horse...... yeah :)

Thanks in advance
p.s. also sent this same query to dungermann at EVGA support.

p.s.s. Wouldn't let me add links :(

Either kit should work fine, but are you replacing all your memory with this kit or just adding to the existing memory?

With using just these 1 of these potential kits, and not mixxing it with another set, you should have no issues. Just be sure that you set the timings, voltage and speed in the bios once you are up and running per what the memory maunfacture recommends.

Thank you ever so much for your advice.

If you have time, would you recommend one over the other? Would i notice the difference between them? if not i may as well buy the cheaper ones?

not much difference really besides the heat spreaders, the DHX looks more like the dominators while the xms is looks more like the classic corsair stuff.

PS. you will need 50 post before you can post any links.
