trying to figure out whats the new chip set?

i tried looking around on google for a list of the chipsets in order. it seems like they come out with ones every week. g's z's p'z d's. im trying to find out...is the x58's the newest? or are the z68's the newest? or is the the x58 better for gaming? im so confused! help me out here please

    X58 is still the top of the line. P67 is the performance model, but newer. Z68 is almost identical to P67 but add's SSD caching.
     
    So it really depends on your budget.
