Happy New Year to you. Greetings from Stehekin, WA! The first snow has arrived. Yes...your commentary speaks to the heart of the matter. When I first purchased my Z790 KP MB on 2/7/2023…EVGA furnished me with an ‘all in one’ USB drive containing all of the correct drivers available at that time and all in one place. Wow! Since then as you know most of these drivers are now dated 12/13/2022, and with a heavy heart I assume that EVGA will continue in remaining mute about publishing updated drivers including such as WIFI, Audio, Bluetooth, Serial I/O, Network, Intel ME, Intel RST and Chipset. And then the obvious ‘missing in action’ BIOS updates embracing compatibility with the 14th generation of Intel Core CPUs. I would love to be refreshed for 2024 and question how expensive or costly actually would that be for EVGA having written for them lower-level programming languages and replacing their way outdated Microcodes? For later in 2014 I am now budgeting for Arrow Lake with a LGA1851 socket and being prepared to revisit ASUS with $1400 in my pocket for one of their Extreme MBs. Goodbye EVGA! As to EVGA and its future? My dear Mother used to say: “A dream is just a dream and a wish is just a wish!” And Mother was always right!

It's not just EVGA, other manufacturers have not updated their boards either.  Pretty sure everyone is waiting for Intel to release something to the builders.

ASUS has been updating on a regular basis for their Z690 and Z790 Maximus Extreme boards. I was going to attach the screenshot of the result window I just got but the insert image link isn't working.

Greetings from Stehekin, WA! Today again the word ‘Vulnerability” sticks into my craw! I keep on asking myself: “What’s new and or is the message from EVGA corporate on any of their 2024 resolutions? Has anyone seen or overheard anything positive? I most certainly was hoping with EVGA officially offering us a full disclosure of its roadmap for the years 2024-2025 and detailing its two-year consumer-focused strategy. I believe that its still existing large client base is more specifically looking for a roadmap including upcoming new alignments of product strategies, new branding structures, new product partnering and how EVGA will be prioritizing its innovation and technology leadership. The question also begs in how EVGA will be reemphasizing the prominence of its brand and which has been a staple of the PC industry for nearly a decade. Surely its clients and or long time supporters would also like to be reassured that EVGA will continue its unsurpassed RMA and warranty services. So will there be a 'roadmap' and positive news be forthcoming from EVGA corporate? Hope floats!

Quote....decided to replace my Z790 Dark KP. I have an used 900D case and a 1080 TI, so I thought of replacing the board while I'm at it.

Greetings from Stehekin, WA! Where no roads can take you. Even in the blinding snow here it’s now glaringly clear that EVGA has not come through for me. Having paid $905 last year for the Z790 KP (including taxes and shipping) now turned out to be a big disappointment and financial decision. Took the ferry last week and visited our local computer show in Wenatchee, WA! Like all of these shows a true marketplace for the man on the street with shallow pockets. Excellent in ‘listening-in’ to the talks of the people scurrying between the folding tables and the ‘sing-song’ accents from the Indian dealers from Bangladesh. No sales tax, extra 10% discount when paying with cash. 70% of the merchandise is new but usually of several generations ago. Even a few all new and still in the box Corsair 1000D cases at $200 were proffered. Good for my sausage fingers and more space for the inside air in moving around. Then refurbished GTX 1080ti’s were plentiful as well and listed at $99. I heard people say: “When comparing cost-to-performance the 1080s are still an enticing option and in terms of raw gaming performance, they will keep on holding their ground fairly well in 2024.” About selling my Z790 KP in the box and with all of the attachments? “Asrani from Nehru Place offered me $125 cash but with all of my DDR5 (2x32GB) in place! Yes…EVGA we have come a long way baby!
