I have an original 3090 FTW3 Ultra with the red lips. Should I not install the XOC bios on the first page of this thread? A bit confused by some of the posts and I can't read through all 200 pages. 

If it is an original rev 0.1, then use the VBIOS on the first page. If it is a rev 1.0, it will already have a 500W VBIOS installed in the OC position.

just got my RMA 3090 ftw3 ultra in today and did a time spy with XOC bios on...... with the power target slider set to 119% and gpu temp set to 91c this is what I got. Thermal throttled 92.2c, hot spot 104.1c, board power draw 472.3w, pcie slot 62w, power 1 145w power, 2 151w and power 3 113w..... now I do have an optimus block with thick backplate but I'm not sure if I wanna even do that with the power 3 being so low and not balanced.... anyone else see this with their RMA 3090???

I need some help. I just received my RMA for PCB 0.1 to PCB 1.0. It came with bios that allowed only 107% power limit so I tried flashing one of the bios from here (EVGA GeForce 30 Series HYBRID/XOC/Default BIOS Thread - EVGA Forums) and apparently it's the wrong one because my Device ID on GPUZ changed from 3842-3988 to 3842-3983 and now I can't seem to change it back to 3988. On top of that I'm having very horrible performance and have had to revert to factory settings to prefer artifact/PC rebooting itself on Timespy.
 
Anyone know which is the right bios I should be using?

I am using a FTW3 Ultra with a Hybrid Kit.
The RMA that was returned to me has 3988 version on both OC and Normal.

Is it worth buying a 3090 FTW3 now and putting a Hybrid kit on it (or the hybrid from my 3080?) 
 
Mainly interested in the 500w power limit and if it lets you clock at 2,100mhz consistently. 

Too late, ordered a 3090 FTW3.  Never going to get my hands a Kingpin so yolo.

Before buying one, I read this thread and thinking maybe to have a working card.
Unfortunatly a rev0.1, cards draw more than 80W+ on PCI-E (high end motherboard), so it's ok.
Average powerdraw is 440-450 with rarely peaks to 500W :-( :-(

 
Speaking with lot of ppl using Asus, MSI or others brands doesn't have any not problem and are able to handle 2.1-2.2 with 520W bios or 540W on WB.
I could RMA it, but seeing other having again bad binning cards, i don't want to loose my money/time.
 
I ordered a waterblock Alphacool (as it seems EK destroy FTW3 cards) and we will what bios i put on it ? Asus 520W or the 1000W bios KP.

 
I hope you'll get a working card, but don't count on it, the only option left seems to put another bios or the 1000W and it will break your waranty if something is wrong.
 
It was my first buy EVGA, thinking it was the best, but apparently it's rather the worst on the 3090 FTW3 series.
 
The customer service seems to be very good, but what to do, we wanted cards that simply work at this price ...

Hey thanks its a new stock card so maybe they have some kinks sorted out.  Also got a Hybrid kit on order.
