Might also want to test it without the UPS if the ERP doesn't fan out.

What effect does the UPS have on the GPU??

Read this thread... https://forums.evga.com/L...tra-bios-m3000849.aspx

In that thread you stated "When ErP is enabled it prevents certain things like keyboards, mice, usb ports, etc from being activated when the pc is turned off in order to save energy when your PC is off."

To my knowledge, those items never activate while the PC is off anyway, but if you could suggest a method to test it, I would be willing to try it.

Even so, in what way would that resolve the red LEDs?

When erp is enabled it keeps a very low amount of power to certain components instead of letting them totally drain, in some cases that low amount of power makes a difference in boot up with certain devices.

I see, and that happens when switching BIOS profiles?

If you have different bios profiles in your motherboard it would need to be enabled or disabled in each profile however you want it to be set. Not saying thats going to fix your issue but in some cases it has. Only you will know if and when you try it if that helps or not. So many different components out there what works for one system might not work for the next.

When troubleshooting its always best to start with the basics when there's a boat load of things going on.  It could literally be anything.  One user found out by removing their UPS their issues went away but that was just one case but it doesn't hurt to try the same.

That is correct hence why I have mine enabled otherwise my Aquaero 6 XT controller in my single bay in front of the case is still being powered while everything else is off.  It has a nice bright display on it so you can imagine while trying to go to sleep. lol  Both the controller's display and my external RGB strips behind my screens would be left powered up via USB 5v.  Without it enabled all of those would still be on.

This LED thing happens to me every time I loose power (no UPS) or if I power off the power supply it's self.
From a complete power off the red LED's come on and it take a couple of reboots before they go off. If I just power off the PC there is still some power left on, MB LED's and the USB's still power my phone and keep it charged and next power on the red LED's are off.
Go Figure...

Disregard the computer spec's that was my old one I am now on a Z390 I9 9900 32 gig mem, RTX 2080 watercooled GPU and CPU.

To the best of my recollection, the red LEDs only appear (and quite infrequently) when the PC powers off and back on after switching BIOS profiles. Turning off the PSU switch or leaving the PC off for an extended (+12 hours) amount of time does not cause the LEDs to light.

Back to the ERP; if I understand how it works, it removes all power to the motherboard and anything plugged into any port or expansion slot on the motherboard, correct?

Just had it happen again. Three red LEDs on GPU, black screen on monitor.

I changed from an overclocked profile to Optimized Defaults in BIOS.

PC was never shut down.

Started PC this morning, it had been off for about 12 or 13 hours.

Then did a quick shut down, and power back on. PC was off for perhaps 5 seconds.

Got three red LEDs.

Pressed the chassis power switch to shut PC down again, and immediately powered back on. No red LEDs.
