Two displays per one Nvidia GPU. I suppose the extra vga port is just there for an extra option. If you go with SLI, as you probably already know, you can run three displays.
    Sharp looking card!

AFAIK, Gainward is owned by Palit Microsystems.  Palit has horrible customer service, and even more horrible quality control on their cards.  I bought a Palit 460GTX before I went EVGA, and it was awful.  Overheating,  cheap CPU cooler, etc...  And the cooler in the picture looks very similar to the one that was on my Palit 460GTX.

It DID have a lot of features, and was cheaper, but there's a reason for that.  I'm sure there are some people out there who have gotten decent cards out of them, but from my own experience and some other reviews out there, I'd stay away from Palit at least...  and hesitate when it comes to Gainward.

2 screens max for any Nvidia card, unless its a dual GPU card.

Why does AMD limit their memory bus to 256 bits?
They both have there limitations, but Nvidia cards seem to be geared more towards performance than AMD.

I guess you have not tried Eyefinity on one of the HD69XX cards as AMD is geared more towards 2D surround then Nvidia as one HD6970 handles BC 2  pretty darn well and where the performance is really needed.. it was a huge upgrade over Cypress in Eyefinity.

Not really. 450 is a pretty weak card as it is and a single 460 is comparable to SLI 450s. That's pretty much why. Should stick to current generation anyways.

Yes but, if he already has a 450 it will be cheaper to go SLI than to purchase a 460.

or i could just put in 20 bucks more and get a gtx 560 and still have double performance (a gtx 560 = gts 450 sli), and a physx gts 450 card..

thats what i meant by it not beeing worth it! :)..

True (after rebates), and it will run alot cooler. I didn't realize the 450's were that expensive, was thinking around $100.

indeed.. the gtx 560 costs 169,90 euro , and the gts 450 costs about 110 euro for the superclocked :P..
there it isn't that much of extra money to double performance.. :(

    http://www.hwcompare.com/10990/geforce-gts-450-1gb-vs-geforce-gtx-560/

as u see it is 122% increase some place, and only 81% another .. but still .. not worth putting a 129 bucks for a new superclocked version of the gts 450 which i allready have :(..
