I have the HyperX Cloud Revolver S, the sound quality was great but i wanted to try the NU audio with it. The connectivity on my headphone requires a USB port tho, unless if I wanted to dump the Dolby Surround DAC that came with it.
 
Also the headphones only has a maximum of 28000Hz. Do i need something higher to experience the full potential of having a sound card?

    USB headphones normally would have built in hardware to process the sound signal. They wouldn't be really ideal for testing the ability of the soundcard. That said some of them come with an adapter to plug into a soundcard and have that process the audio instead. Just know though that with a USB headphone some of the money goes into the built in audio processing hardware instead of trying to make the headset be built with the best sounding parts for the money.

    So to plug my headphone into the sound card i need to remove the Dolby Surround. How would you compare the EVGA NU Audio to the Dolby surround that came with my headphone?
    And is it worth the upgrade?

    With the NU Audio, your headphones should sound as good as they possibly can. I don't own the Cloud Revolver S, but I did read some reviews mentioning hiss and other noise when Dolby Surround was enabled on the USB DAC. The NU should offer better audio quality.
     
    While you will lose Dolby Surround from your current DAC, you could try Windows Sonic (free) or Dolby Atmos for Headphones ($) to get similar virtual 7.1 surround with NU Audio. Also, EVGA has said they plan to add some form of headphone virtual surround to the NU Audio, so that would be a third option once it arrives.
