Hello guys so i am upgrading my Gaming PC so i want to upgrade my monitor since it is a 24 inch 1080p HP monitor. This is were the problem starts. I purchased and returned the Samsung CHG70, 5 times and all of them had dead pixel and back light bleeding. Now i tried Alienware since is expensive and looking for alternatives i liked it but the first one has back light bleeding and the second one too. I added the pictures of the Alienware monitor here for you to see. So am i asking too much for my money? Is a $500 and $1000 monitor without back light bleeding too much to ask. Is been a long time since i purchase a new monitor and i want to know if this is the new standard for quality because 2 different companies with 2 different monitors and 2 different prices but same result. I have a $120 HP Monitor without Backlight or dead pixel I Have an Alienware Laptop without Backlight or dead pixel I have a Specter 32inch TV without Backlight or dead pixel https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VqdfRDQWHrVIpf8qqRSH5_bJEtT2rbUY/view?usp=sharinghttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1q87DLgSNe2rZNFN75tYW0qYIjsXglR50/view?usp=sharing

The Samsung CHG70's, I own 2 of them and they both have a little bit of backlight bleed, one is better than the other which is the one I use as my primary monitor. Neither of them had any dead pixels though. Backlight bleed is very common on these curved monitors you can read a ton of reviews on all of them and find that its a common issue. Also some of the other brands even use the same Samsung VA display that the Samsung models you returned have! :)

So it is more common on curved? Since i am looking for a 27 inch i can try my luck with normal ones to see.

Not sure if its more common or not on curved, just know I did a lot of research on it. When you are doing stuff on the monitor or playing games you don't even see any of the small light bleed that my Samsung's have. Its only when the screen is black really that you see it. One of mine had a really bad bleed for the right side that was like a flashlight out bezel almost. I RMA'd it and they replaced the screen, the replacement was pretty good overall and that is the one I use now as my primary monitor of the 2.

Thanks for reply man. At this time i am just sad of this situation. Check the picture and u will notice it on games not so dark like Battlefront. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nQklkZtFKjYH6ZwWx3GDGjyN-HxQtANy/view?usp=sharinghttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1fZTVU-nlN3qkuO7jfF5qXcP2e7vecNVG/view?usp=sharing I don't want to just settle with this but i don't see an option beside keep replacing them until i win lottery.

Monitor quality has been atrocious for the last few years imo. I went through 3 of the ASUS ROG PG279Q 27" monitors from Amazon, all returned for severe backlight bleed, and one with a bunch of dead pixels. At almost $700 each, that is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately this seems to be an issue with many high-end monitors for a while now, and it's just total luck if you get a good one, but the odds are not in favor of that happening. Apparently the ACER Predators were having the same issues - I believe their panels may come from the same manufacturer as the ASUS ones. Eventually I bought a used PG278Q from another EVGA member, and that's been fine. My recommendation is to go for something relatively cheap until quality control improves, or some new tech comes out that avoids these issues ..or you can continue with the RMA lottery and hope you eventually get a good one. I have seen comments that retailers are just cycling out returned stock now until someone keeps it, and if that's the case, the likelihood of getting a good one is near zero. It would also explain why repeated RMA returns are being replaced with monitors just as bad as the one returned.

Are you wanting a 21:9 MONITOR, or a large TV? 21:9 is hardly supported right now, and requires a lot of games to be 'tweaked' to get them to run right. 2560x1440 is better because it is supported more by almost every game, and can look very good with an IPS panel. You dont need an Acer Predator to get a good monitor, you can go with a Dell IPS monitor, or an Acer XB27(whatever the latest # is right now), and have excellent gameplay (just remember to use a DisplayPort cable). Make sure to get an IPS panel with low input lag W/O hardware accelleration to get it to low lag times. 5ms GtG is fine if it doesnt use accelleration. And an IPS with 5ms gtg will look awesome over a TN panel. My buddy just got a curved IPS panel. We researched all 3 of the ones he wanted (21:9, Predator, Dell, and Acer I think or maybe Samsung), and he ended up with the cheapest one which had the LEAST complaints on the panels, a Dell IIRC, and he has had 0 issues with it (it only goes to 100hz though, and thats oc'ed, which means hw/sw accelleration, but it will do 60-80hz NOT oc'ed, and thats what he plays at). Also, if you are tied to 60hz only, then the Dell 21:9 is an EXCELLENT choice, as it has no issues on 60hz or 80hz. 100hz can have 'some' little issues. The monitors that OC to 120 and 144hz, do so at drastic oc'ed hw/sw accelleration, and give huge input lag, or spikes in gameplay,, and also can burn out very fast, and ussually have peak brightness VERY low to where everything is dark and an IPS panel that is dark looks like crud. So, if you absolutely are tied to one or 2 mfr's only, then good luck. If you want a curved panel, I would suggest the Dell monitor that only does 100hz, as it has the LEAST issues out of all of them.
