So I bought a 1080 ftw card. Runs beautifully. But some of my games still crash. Games like BF 4 and hunt showdown. I was so impressed by this new card, I pre-ordered BF5.
Does anyone else have this problem?
My setup is on a new windows 10 that I just upgraded from 7.
i7 975e @ 4.3ghz
H100i v2 cooler
Win. 10
Evga 1080 FTW
Asus P6X58D preimum
Crucial 1tb ssd ( just for win 10 and certain programs only. )
WD 1tb - for games
All latest updates for drivers , including GPU
1000 w psu
Thanks for helping in advance😁

Maybe New Hardware on Old Hardware?
GEN2 PCIe Motherboard Last Bios Version 1501 2011/07/02 7 Years Ago.
    DDR3 Memory
    GEN1.1 for PCIe Lanes
For BF5 you may need an RTX Graphics Card.

Maybe your cpu overclock is unstable, and it's causing the issue. See what happens at default cpu clocks.

That is a possibility. I have been thinking the same.
I don't think I will need the new RTX card. Although the new RTX card looks awesome, the 1080 should handle that game (BF5) just fine.  But I think I should upgrade to a newer MB and go with a i7 8700k
Also found out my PSU is not working correctly. First I'll correct that. will follow up
    thanks

I did just that. Cpu is stable. But what I did find out is that my PSU is not running correctly. Putting out 13.33 volts.
Ordered a new one. If this continues to happen, I believe its because my system is getting old (other than new GPU) and should go with an upgrade. Which I had looked into.  Was just praying to the game gods for an easy solution, LOL
    Thanks
