oke thanks for the fast reply :D
than i buy the intel core 2 extreme QX6700 ;)
Be mindful of the investment, Intel "X" processors in general are expensive even if old and used, don't spend too much on an aging system if that same money could be used to at least swap primary components (CPU, mobo, RAM) with something more modern. Going through ebay, US only, the average is
$110 for a used QX6700 (w/o shipping and tax), which might not seem bad.
But could you have gotten something newer (and faster) for about same cost? Check
this review out where the 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad Q6600 is pretty much at the bottom of all game tests, even beaten by newer dual-cores. This
review shows how much faster the newer dual-cores are even to an E8400 Wolfdale.
Considering the linked reviews, I made up a list of parts you could get if overclocking wasn't a priority:
$45 AsRock H61 mATX board
$26 2x 2GB DDR3-1333 RAM
$68 2.9GHz Intel Pentium G645 (Sandy Bridge based)
====
$139 -- w/o overclocking since the H chipset won't let you and the non-K part won't let you farther than 400MHz anyway. Intel prevented budget overclocking with Sandy Bridge (Core i 2000's), so minimum cost to overclock has been raised to $400 or so for primary three components, $219 Core i5-2500K is minimum CPU choice.
You could save up for that, but why spend $110 or so on QX6700 now? Use that money towards the eventual swap.
