i get this when i try to launch Alan Wake:

Things i've tried:
updating from last whql to 295.51 using driver sweeper/safe mode
uninstalling msi afterburner
disabling SLI
reset DPI to 100% from custom size
exiting Origin
booting into safe mode with networking

It all results in the exact same error message shown above.

I'm pretty sure my system meets the minimum requirements...

Anyone have any ideas on what else i should try?! I've been waiting for this to come to PC since i saw it on 360.. HALP MEEZ PLEEZ!

Do other games do this as well?  Do you have any error codes in the Device Manager for the cards?  Test it with Heaven Benchmark as see what happens.  Also try each card alone in the system in the top PCIe slot and see if it happens with just one card.

No other games do it and i am sure it is just a bug in this one game.

I finally stumbled upon a solution. I used -window command to start and it finally launched to the main menu.

After that it would let me go full screen but only at 1280x720 resolution and it will not let me switch resolution in game. To get 1080p i have to use -w1920 -h1080 command. it still says 1280x720 resolution in the game but my TV confirms it is actually 1080p.

weird thing is that after the first launch with the -window command i no longer need it; it launches fine fullscreen without the -window command now.

looks like you may be SOL until an update is released.

right click on game and ask to "check the integrity of cache"

if that fails and other video card drives fail... you have to wait bro. report it to the dev.
