This post was a last resort as I read through quite a few older posts about these codes.

Paired this mobo with an EVGA RTX 2070 Super and
Core i7
Can give more specs if needed but this build has been my main rig working just fine for quite some time.

Short story is I installed some software in Windows that required secure boot. So I enabled that in the Bios, after rebooting it now just gives the 5 beeps and those two codes. No post or video output.

I’ve tried a variety of things:
Clearing the BIOS with the button the on rear panel, pulled cmos battery and let it sit. I held down the reset button on the mono which apparently is more for trying to update the bios? Tried a different video card. Removing all SSDs. Unplugged any unnecessary peripherals.

What can I do with this thing? Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

Interesting… the first time I go into the bios in probably an entire year, make one change (secure boot) and the processor fails. Just doesn’t add up but I guess the timing could be purely coincidence. I’ll see if I can get my hands on a compatible processor.

Oh and tried pushing F1 and didn’t notice anything happening.

I'm curious what happens if you disable secure boot. 

So I got my hands on an 8th gen i5 8500t today. Installed it and same sort of behavior. No post, d6 with 5 beeps followed by the pc sitting on code a6. And yeah I pulled the cmos battery out and let it sit for a while.

I did reseat the video card, tried a different video card. All I have plugged into it is a keyboard, power and hdmi cable. I’m at a loss.
