Hi EVGA,

On my Z370 FTW, the firmware correctly detects that I have two operating systems installed on the same SSD (in my case, Windows 10 and Ubuntu). However, when setting the default boot options, it allows only the choice of one of them (in this instance, Windows 10, which I had installed prior to installing Ubuntu). This is a surprising limitation, because in the boot override section of the firmware, there is the option to boot from Ubuntu, and it works. I'm running in UEFI mode, not legacy BIOS, if that matters.

Consequently, whenever I want to boot into Ubuntu, I need to enter the firmware and choose the boot override option. (Probably as a workaround I guess I could mess with the Windows 10 bootloader, but past experience on non UEFI systems tells me it's a real PITA to maintain after an update to the Linux bootloader GRUB).

So what I would like, naturally, is for the default boot firmware option to include whatever operating systems are loaded onto a drive, not just one of them.

I can share an image of the firmware in case anything in my explanation is unclear.

Thanks.

Damon

At the bottom of the Boot page, there is an option to select the priority for hard drive boot. This will be below the list that lets you switch priority between hard drive / cd-rom / usb / etc. There you can select between the "Windows Boot Manager" and whatever Ubuntu identifies as.

Thanks, that did the trick. I didn't even notice that configuration option before.
