I have two BIOSes to post here for all Z370 motherboards. The Spectre updates are located at the top, and a previous BIOS released before the Spectre updates will be posted below, if you choose not to update to the Spectre microcode patch. The second BIOS posted below is included in the Spectre patch, so you do not need to flash both BIOSes. BIOS 1.07/1.08 Updates (Spectre)- Update CPU microcode for Intel security
- Improves smart fan speed control
- Improves Intel SGX compatibility
- Add SW-TPM function
- Add SPD control item for additional memory RGB control
134-KS-E379-KR - EVGA Z370 Classified K - v1.07 134-KS-E377-KR - EVGA Z370 FTW - v1.08 121-KS-E375-KR - EVGA Z370 Micro ATX - v1.07 This BIOS is intended to update the CPU microcode to increase security related to the reported Spectre vulnerability for processors used on Z370 motherboards. This microcode update is expected to be used in conjunction with related patches from your Operating System or VMM to ensure complete protection from reported vulnerabilities. β [New version of microcode updates have been posted 3/27]
β BIOS 1.05/1.06 Updates (Pre-Spectre) - Improves i3-8350K CPU OC Compatibility
134-KS-E379-KR - EVGA Z370 Classified K - v1.05 134-KS-E377-KR - EVGA Z370 FTW - v1.06 121-KS-E375-KR - EVGA Z370 Micro ATX - v1.05
β Windows Installation- Download the correct .zip file above for your motherboard.
- First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
- Close all open programs.
- Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and open update.bat
- Press Y to start the flash process
- DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
- After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
- NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be ran from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.
BIOS Installation- Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
- Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
- From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."
- Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

Question regarding the bios, With UEFI and CSM disabled I still only get a low-resolution. Are there plans to increase that resolution? Running a 1080ti from inno3d. Also, in the future I would love to have the option for a splash boot screen with just a minimal EVGA logo.

Can you explain this a little more? Usually when you see low-resolution mode it means that the grahpics driver isn't working correctly. I would recommend starting your own post in the Z370 forum, and we should be able to assist further.

Thanks for the Spectre info! This exploits been worrying me a lot lately. Seems like Nvidia wasn't too bothered by it from the articles I read on their site.
Got a used >=8gb GPU that you'd like to sell? PM me

I'm assuming you mean the BIOS for the Z370 FTW. Mostly what it says - improve CPU OC Compatibility for the i7 8370K. It adjusts the way the motherboard is configured with that processor to alter a few default voltages and other behavior to make it easier to OC with that CPU. Relatively standard stuff. We received the 1.06v. BIOS just before we started testing and verifying the BIOS to patch the microcode for the Spectre vulnerability. I was going to only post the 1.07 BIOS, but I've seen some members concerned about performance post-Spectre patch, so I also made these available in case members wanted the latest BIOS just prior to the Spectre patch. If you patch to 1.07, then the 1.06 updates are included.

are we going to be able to have BIOS 1.05 and BIOS 1.06 loaded in Motherboards with Dual BIOS chips ? or are there lower level board changes made ( or coming later ) by ( Intel and Microsoft ) that make jumping BACK not work ? Holding at 1.05 for both dual BIOS in my z370 classified k for now. From reading I see this fix will be a three step or more process. 1. Microsoft temp software update 2. Bios and firmware or the bios does the firmware 3. More software updates ---------------------------------------- Remember the P8P67 Intel south bridge problem where Intel payed to replace motherboards. Sandy lake time frame. 2011 EVGA did avoid problem -----------------------------------------

Please note that we've temporarily removed the Spectre updates, as we are in the process of providing a new BIOS version with updated microcode. I do not currently have an expected date of release, however, so we ask that you patiently wait while we work on this. I will provide further updates when they are available.

Are there any updates scheduled to enable Intel-SGX on UEFI, disable, enable software control like AsRock or GIGABITE's products?

Thanks for keeping us informed. I never applied the Spectre update to my Z370 board, because when I applied it to my Gigabyte Z170 board, I did observe a BSOD.

SGX is already enabled via the Software Controlled option. It's neither enabled or disabled out of the box; it activates when using software that uses Intel SGX. EVGATech_LeeM
Kozanator I have a question about the EVGA Z370 Classified K Motherboard after reading about Intel's HDR Support and 4K Blu-Ray playback. https://communities.intel.com/thread/118311 When looking at the specification of the motherboard, it says HDMI 2.0 but nothing more. Is it just simply HDMI 2.0 or is it LSPCON HDMI 2.0a? Also, does the board support SGX? This motherboard was listed here by Intel: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=13271422&postcount=108 It sure would be nice to get that HDR support for 4K Blu-Ray playback as I am trying to build the highest end PC I can with the appropriate support for 4K Blu-Ray on the Z370 platform and this looks like the motherboard to do it with. Thanks.
Per our motherboard team, the Z370 Classified K does support HDMI 2.0a through a LSPCON chip. 4K UHD was confirmed to work on NETFLIX. Our Z370 and Z270 motherboards support SGX via "Software Controlled": https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/properly-detecting-intel-software-guard-extensions-in-your-applications

Thank you What kind of software do you use SGX? For example, 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray content can not be seen with PowerDVD 17 Ultra, which is my own trouble. What is the reason for this? SGX - PSW etc All you need is installed, but with advisertool NG display will be displayed with SGX and ME items Is Netflix 4k a mechanism using Intel's SGX?

I would say at least on one of the two Bios I would. 1.06 is that I am now running.

Hi, just wondering if Z370 FTW future BIOS update will unlock Writes to SMBus addresses? I need those for controlling some RGB options on the RAM. How big of an issue would that be and how long should I expect something like that to come out? Asking because I might just return the RAM if it doesn't work.

You're not immune. Everything going back at least as far as Sandy Bridge (likely farther) is impacted.

We've added more compatibility for RGB memory (and yes, your request was one of the reasons we've updated this). Just be aware that there is a potential for causing crashes by utilizing this function. Normally, there shouldn't be a problem, but it's still a possibility. More of an FYI sort of thing.

Hi Rogue, Intel ME software is available on the install disc that is included with the motherboard. Alternatively, it should be available on the EVGA Driver Download page. Please let me know if that resolves the issue.

The one on the download page is the one I have installed now but I still have the same problem. ME ver. 11.7.0.1037 The message I get from cyberlink's advisory tool is "The required Intel SGX (SW Guard Extensions) wasn't started. Please re-install the full set of Intel Management Engine (ME) software components. Error code: 21204"
