Hi,

I have a Corsair Vengeance LED CMU16GX4M2C3000C15R
3000mhz ddr4 c15
Stuck at 2133 mhz
I was told by EVGA rep that it would be fully supported but XMP profile is not working with my Z370 micro ATX motherboard. :(

Help me please.

Windows Task Manager only shows the Base Memory Clock (SPD Speed 2133MHz) not what they are set to by the XMP Profile.
CPU-Z is showing you the Set Speed of your Memory of 4400 MHz
    https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Memory-Size/vengeance-led-configurator/p/CMU16GX4M2C3000C15R
Show this is only Tested Speed 3000MHz
Are you using the XMP1 or XMP2 Profile in the Bios, should be XMP1

When using images from https://i.imgur.com/pyNPXrN add the .jpg to the end of the like https://i.imgur.com/pyNPXrN.jpg
and users will not see the Black X Box

No.. This is set on XMP 1, it won't let me use XMP 2 (it says that it is not supported).

It also shows 4400mhz on CPU-Z both Automatic bios setting (of ram) and XMP profile 1

I did NOT. NOT. Set it to 4400mhz. That is what it's doing Automatic and XMP Profile 1. When I set to Manual I get BSOD as stated above.

When choosing XMP profile it automatically suggest 3000mhz.
It is still the same that I showed on my picture :( don't know what is happening.

Help please. I tried re-seating the RAM. Still doing the same thing. Should I try CMOS?
    Not sure what to do.

Sounds like you need to adjust your vsa/vccio voltages when setting your ram manually. Max safe for both voltages is 1.35.

You may also need to raise you vcore too if your cpu is being overclocked.

That’s probably because NB Frequency is NOT memory frequency... that’s your cache/ring speed.

Your memory is currently running at 1066 (2133) MHz which is actually correctly reported in the task manager.

You’re most likely going to need to set the frequency to 3000 and set the primary timings yourself. I’d suggest trying that.

Use 1.15v on VCCIO and VCCSA to begin with. You do not require anywhere near 1.35. I used to run 3600 C12 stable at 1.2v on both.

    Oh got it...

could you please check if I'm getting it right?

I reset everything on default on BIOS except I set XMP profile 1 and get this result.

Why am I getting 2133mhz on task manager?

    1500mhz DRAM frequency means it's now running at 1500mhz x 2= 3000mhz ?

Yep, in this case, ignore task manager. CPUZ is reporting your frequency correctly. :)

I wonder why it is able to display the correct frequency some of the time and not the other. Another Windows “feature” ...

Okay, I was suggested that I would run 3d mark benchmark  and HWinfo64 is also showing 1500mhz

Post your Memory Page like the one shown below.
(Use F12 in the Bios) then save as a .jpg file. Create a Post Save it and the Edit the post and then attach with the Paper Clip.
I have set the settings that you can test with below as well.
If your Bios shows your Memory as shown below left upper part of the Image then your Memory is set correct, this is all that counts.

Make sure your BCLK is set to 100. Check this AFTER you select XMP Profile 1

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

It's showing exactly that on the pictures you posted.
I can't seem to screenshot bios it keeps saying "Can not detected USB key" (do you know why I can't screenshot? if so, please let me know.)

Here are my firestrike results. Are these numbers normal? Memory is showing 3000mhz.

Then your memory is working as it should be.
You do need a USB Thumb Drive to use F12
