First of all hello overclockers, Today I will be going over how to overclock the xfx 7770 core edition, and my thoughts on it.

System specs: (mothers work computer store brought so I don't know what mobo it has)
But it has: xfx 7770 core edition, 8GB DDR3 1600, Intel I5-3450@3.10 GHZ, and Thermaltake 550 watt psu.

Games and programs used:
Metro Last Light
Lost Planet 2
Resident Evil 5
Unigine Heaven Benchmark 2.5
3D MARK11 Basic Edition
MSI Afterburner

*I am not responsible for any damaged caused by overclocking so do at your own risk*

Step 1: Open up MSI afterburner.

After you have MSI Afterburner you will see the following
Core Voltage: Locked
Power Limit(%): Adjustable/Default 0
Core Clock(MHz): Set to 1000(MHz)
Memory Clock (MHz): Set to 1125(MHz)
Fan Speed (%): Set to auto with a user defined fan curve(Me)

*Note depending on your card some settings listed above may be different i.e. superclocked edition*

Step 2: Start adjusting your core clock and memory clock in 15 MHz increments
So Lets start with core clock 1000>1015 then memory clock 1125>1140
*quick tip if you click the green box were it shows the speed you can type in the speed you want so 1015, and 1140 as shown below*

After you have increased the core and memory clock its time to see if the overclock is stable. I usually run benchmarks, some people will use Furmark which just loads your card for x amount of time. If it's not a stable overclock your computer will hard lock during the benchmark which you will have to Ctrl+Aly+Del to bring up task manager and end the process/program

If it is stable and you want to overclock your card more the keep increasing in 15 MHz increments till you hit your limit. *note due to the fact the PC I used for testing purposes did not have adequate cooling I did not mess with the power limit on the card, so adjust at your own risk*

Now my max overclock I was able to achieve was 1104 on the core clock and 1226 on the memory clock:) So a decent overclock with little effort, and max temp never exceeded 70C.

Now some of my results:

OK in the quick reply box do you see the last icon on the right, the one that looks like a tree. Click that and it pops up and says image URL. In photobucket for example if you see an image you want to input then on the right hand side of that image you'll see a box that says "Links to share this photo". Click the one that says Direct. It should copy automatically when you do. Then paste that into the image URL box.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA
