My CPU VIN is 2.1v on auto. Most internet guidance (pinch of salt , I know) suggests leaving CPU VIN at default (1.8-1.9v) unless really pushing an overclock, and then 2.1v as maximum.

System info:
CPU: 5820k @ 4.4ghz, 100 bus, x44
Voltages: CPU adaptive offset +175, all others auto
Overclock set in BIOS, ver1.02

Even after reset to optimised defaults there is no change to CPU VIN, stays at 2.1v. Is this EVGA setup for the board?
Temps are no problem as CPU is under custom water loop, but is this voltage too high and should I try to reducing or just leave?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Never leave the voltage on auto.  It will always overshoot or not be enough.  You need to manually tune it yourself.  That seems REALLY high for even 4.4.  I'm on 4.5 Ghz @ 1.278v.  IIRC, I use adaptive.  Very easy to use once you understand it.

Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS and drivers from the EVGA site.

Yup, I noticed this "issue", too, and is manually dialing VIN to 1.9V.

It's OK, my Vcore is +175 adaptive so about 1.23 - 1.25 stress testing. It's the overall voltage in I'm looking at. Sorry if post wasn't clear!
    HardwareLuxx info attached.

Thanks Phil, I've been lazy on the quick & dirty route! looks like manual setting for this one.
Difficult to monitor auto voltages for this chip/mobo. HWMonitor shows too many, most of which don't tie up with anything I can see in BIOS and AIDA64 only gives core and VRM.
Only just looked at ELEET, which actually seems pretty good for monitoring voltage, with exception of core as it only shows offset.

Oh no worries.  I always mix up the darn CPU Vcore with CPU Vin. lol

I always had problems understanding what the others are.  I just know Multi, BCLK and Vcore and that was enough to get me into 4.5 Ghz on my setup.  I do get BSODs rarely if I'm folding and watching a youtube video at the same time, for example.  Tried adding some voltage to increase the stability but doesn't seem to work and the BLCK is never sitting at 100.
