I rotated the Old 380I as shown below and my Temps Dropped More then 10C So the water flow is now going up and down the CPU as before is was going from Left to Right or across the CPU. Click on Image for Larger View The New CPU-390CI Water Block, Copper Top (Intel Processor) weights almost 2 times that of the 380I As shown in #31 one above http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2543882 the new 980I is Copper + Nickel on top. The Old 380I Block was Nickel-Plated Copper, Stainless Steel, POM Acetal, EPDM. The New 390I Block is Nickel-Plated Copper, Stainless Steel, EPDM also the do have a Clear Nickel-Plated Copper, Stainless Steel, PMMA Acrylic, EPDM Block as well. I will run some LLR for a while to see if I can get the Temps to go higher that what I am now seeing of 66C as before they where at 77C. I will Post more Photos after I change out the Blocks.

They really don't but the way I had it before was how they show it on their website. I am running other tasks that are back up in the high 70s and low 80s so I just wanted to test before I changed the block. They do say though that 70-79C is ok for this CPU.

So, did rotating the block 90 make the temp difference? Are the disconnects screwed into the block or is that a temp sensor fitting first? That's a nice decrease in temps. Looks like you have the "new style" of disconnects that work like an airline fitting. All mine are the old style that twist lock. Nice build man!!

I love the Quick Disconnects. They are set as; Block - Temp Sensor - Quick Disconnect - Line Out (Hot Line) Block - Flow Sensor - Quick Disconnect - Line In (Cold Line) I set this rig up so that I can take any line out to replace the tubing when needed. After 5 Builds I found this easiest way to maintain the Loops. It also makes it easy to change Blocks, Pumps and even Radiators. You can see this best in post http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2302155 So, did rotating the block 90 make the temp difference? I would say Yes more then No, Once the New Block is on I will no a little more. Thanks NotFordMan

Thinking that all CPUs are laid out as shown below I think the flow going from the Top Down would work best though. My only CPU Delidding View System

I moved over to Koolance's new CPU-390CI Water Block, Copper Top (Intel Processor) Today. Overall My Temperatures are Down 11C-14C so it was more then worth the change over to this new CPU Block. Anyone thinking about buying or changing out their CPU Water Block I would Recommended this Block Hands Down.
