So far, for the past 7 years i've had this MB its been awesome. But i've just realized that it has never detected all ram installed. When I first assembled this rig, I've purchased 3x 6gb ram, thinking this was acceptable. Now i'm thinking it might not even be compatible with the MB. Can someone please help me verify which size rams are compatible with my MB. Thanks

are you sure I don't think they make 6g  ram modules ?
4g modules is what it takes .
but with that being said I do have a friend that stuck in 2x8g
modules and they worked but I would not bet on it working.

    Welcome to the forums.

What OS, Windows?..32-bit or 64-bit OS?..What make/model/part number of RAM?

Is it not detecting all the RAM in the BIOS, or the OS, or both?..It matters..And how much is showing?

Anyway, here's a couple things to read through for now.

Why does my X58 show less memory in windows as available then the Maximum I have installed into the motherboard?..And..3.99 usable ram.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the welcome and the replies.
GD I suspect you are right. I says 6gb on each stick so I thought each one was that size. But I researched the model and it is 3x 2gb. Thank you guys. My fault for the confusion Lol.
