Made me a smaller sig tag as I couldn't fit the official one with my other tags. Hope that's ok.

The one in my sig links back to the OP of this thread too :-)

If it is me you are addressing, I am running 8-8-8-21-1T at 1970MHz. I don't have dominator GTs. I have Patriot 2000LL which are Elpida Hypers and should be the same as the Dominator GT rev 2.X.

Looks good, I like it! Though I do like the black i7 logo (current) better, but idk if that would look good with your theme.

Ok this is pretty close to the final version of what I was thinking about doing. I can get the actual member's CPU clock at the bottom right.
So let me know what you think guys. If Kram agrees we will have a smaller sig which will not need to be cut off. I think it is better than everyone coming up with their own one.

I think either version is fine, it was just the size (height) that was a problem for me (and one or two other people). The restrictions imposed by EVGA on sig size simply does not allow enough space to fit that tag in with the existing sigs for some of us. Your new one above looks sweet, but also looks to be about the same height as the official tag, so not sure if it achieves anything by changing it.

I sent a PM to Kram with the small 400x30 tag I made asking if it was ok to use it, or if there was something he would like changed on it to make it acceptable (or to not use it at all), but he didn't reply either way. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, or start everyone into making their own tags.

If it's a problem, I'll just remove it from my sig and not have a 4.2 tag - I don't have any issue with that at all.

Again, sorry if I started something - that was not my intention.

Actually mine is quite a bit shorter, I know it was a height problem. I have it at 125pixels while the old one was more like 150pixels. I had plans to do something about it anyway but I was offering to do it for all the members. It is a good feedback though if you all think that it is still too tall, I can make it shorter. What would be the optimal height?

Ahh ok yeah - you removed some of the white space at top and bottom that was on the official tag, I see now :-)

Most members have tags for their rig specs, then often people have EVGA affiliate tags, folding@home tags, mods rigs tags, some gamer tags, heatware tags etc. etc. and there's simply not enough space for them all.

Other members are quite happy to have one or maybe two big tags and that's it.

Having the option of a small tag allows for either style. The one I made is only 30px high, but clearly that is not going to be suitable for everyone.

I sent a PM to Kram asking him to respond to our posts above. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, and it's not my call to make either way. If Kram wants to keep it as the original official one then no problem. If he wants an option of a big tag and a small tag, that would be good too, but that's just my personal preference.

In saying all that.. the lightning in your tag is sweet, and the achieved CPU clock speed is a good idea too.

The whole idea of having the name customized badge was so everyone would know the person actually passed the stability test. You guys creating your own badges kind of defeats that purpose and the effort put into it.

I personally would rather everyone stick with the official badge, but you passed the test and it's your signature.

Thanks for the response Kram36. Fair enough, and I agree with the reasoning. I'll remove the small badge from my sig. Unfortunately the official one is too big to fit with the EVGA sig restrictions, and most of it gets cut off (including the name). I'll try it again for a day or two, but I think it will just be no badge for me.

**P.S. later**
sorry, only half a badge showing looks really bad, so I've removed it altogether. I passed the test anyway :-)
Thanks for putting this stability club thread together Kram36. Sorry for the interruption.

I understand the height issues with the current badge. Drerex and I have done some to address this, but the replacement badge didn't get much of a response. I think it may not have the flare of the current badge is why. Here it is again and the associated post.

You also have a bit more free space at the top of your signature then normal. Maybe try to remove that. I did trim some off the top and bottom of my badge to stay within TOS requirements, but I lost the png transparency in doing it.

Doh, I kind of like that smaller one you guys did above better, lol. - except it's hard to see the 4.2Ghz mark.
Guess it's just me. Thanks anyway.

err... do you realize the official one says 4.2MHz in the skull, not GHz? hehe. Do you hate me yet? lol

I like it to. Changes made where removing the "Faster Then Lighting/Stronger Than Steel" to take some height out of the main body and allow the skull to be more pronounce. Also added "Member" to the "X58 Stability Club". I also wanted it to still show strength, so a metal image was added behind the "X58 Stability Club Member", but I'm not sure if it conveys in the picture well enough. Maybe a diamond plate metal would do better?

I don't like to bother Drerex much about it. He does a lot for people here on the forums with signature badges. So I dropped it with the lack of responses.

EDIT: Yes we are aware of the Mhz deal. Just was waiting to see about the responses to the smaller badge before he put anymore time into it.

Right now I can not make one, the example badge was one Drerex sent to me. EVIILJ made a website for me to go to and add the members name to the badge and not lose the png transparency.

EVIILJ would have to have the image and set up the webpage specific to this badge.

Thanks for discussing :-)  The metal effect looks good as is, and does convey strength imho.
Just a suggestion: If the smaller tag is made available, when you enter the name of the member, you could also enter the CPU speed perhaps? ie: Nereus 4.2GHz, Dejanh 4.6GHz, and so on.. Saves having to worry about adding / changing the 4.2GHz elsewhere in the tag, and recognizes individual achievements above the 4.2GHz minimum requirement at the same time. Yes?

That is something I would like to be able to do. The way I would like it to work is at the right of the main body have your achieved clock speed and still keep the persons named centered in the main body. Would balance out between the Core i7 logo at the left of the main body.

I do not know if that way could be done and I would have to get with EVIILJ on it.
