What copper alloy are you using? Form the photos its does not look like pure copper from the machining marks and tint.
Also were are you getting these made and can they machine air cooled sinks? I been wanting to make a better VRM sink for my rog iv board.

I used C11000 grade copper, thanks!

That is a shame, my vrm is apparently very hard to keep cool! Do you have any old or second-hand ones you might be willing to sell? And/or is there a price that would make it worthwhile? I'm happy to over pay for something this cool :P

Again I am sorry, I only have the single unit ever created (Dark VRM Block) and it is not for sale unfortunately.

I feel bad as so many have messaged me and ask for the FTW, Dark VRM blocks, etc and always have to tell them I don't have any for sale and don't have any plans on making some.

I will see if I can make some at my work when the machines are less busy and see if I can make a couple.  But I am very busy at work and the tooling there is mostly for larger pieces than a small components like this.  I can try and program for one of the VMC's that is rarely used there.  I would like to make blocks and bring them to the market for others to enjoy.  I have designed a couple that have not been shown or few have seen.

Thank you for the kind words!

That would be amazing! I mean, please don't feel bad, this thing is just exceptionally cool and this VRM is a pain to, well, cool :P If you do happen to have the time to make some I would love to buy one. If you find you do not have the time, would you be interested in allowing me to show the CAD files to someone else to make a one-off, or a small run? You retain all rights, etc, of course. I just want colder VRM

Thank you, I appreciate it. I will see what I can do.  And of course update this post.

Unfortunately I do not give out my CAD files or prints as I am always worried of them falling into the wrong hands and having credit stolen for my creations.  That is not to say that the place would do this of course, I am just paranoid about this, I apologize for this.  I do appreciate the thought and offer though of course.

In the meantime, I saw someone else on here design a beautiful X299 Dark Monoblock.  It was the Dark Laguna build, really had an awesome design to it.  Maybe they might be able to make one for you?  There is always the option of high w/mk Fujipoly pads, but I found on top of being very expensive they are extremely brittle.

And there always is the legendary Liquid Extasy.de, they make beautiful blocks.  Here is a full cover unit!  I have gotten a block from them before, they do not disappoint!

Jacob should contact this "entrepreneur in progress" and surprise all mobo manufacturers with next EVGA best cooled vrm mobo.

Fair enough! I would have the same paranoia if they were my CAD files to be honest :p I'm currently having to work out how many fans I have to strap to my motherboard to stop my VRM overheating and causing throttling. I've got some error where the VRM hitting 60c causes a thermal throttle, so any overclocking at all is going to be a struggle without something like this water block.

I've never used a monoblock before, although I have a very nice Optimus cpu block on atm, and I would hate to compromise the performance of my CPU cooling with a mono. That liquid extasy block is very cool though, I think if I had known about it when I bought this board I might have purchased it! For £300+ (after shipping, import taxes, etc), I am probably better saving the money for a new cpu and board in a year or two. I would happily pay £50-£100 for a block like yours, but £300 is a bit much I think. I will keep an eye on that site in general though, it's new to me! Thanks

The Optimus block is very nice.  I used one for a short period of time.  The Liquid Extasy fullcover block would not disappoint and I doubt you would loose much when it comes to CPU cooling side, could easily try and make up for it with a super good TIM such as Nano Grease from Phobya.  No problem, I found them long ago and seems not a lot of people know about them.

You should check out: https://www.comino.com/en/waterblocks they make some awesome pieces as well.

I'm afraid you're my only hope! I contacted comimo and they won't make anything unless I order 150 of them 😅

Liquid ecstacy also doesn't make a block for the FTW-k, and it would cost more than a new motherboard:(

I will look into that paste though, that sounds very promising. I use SYY and that's been awesome so far.

As I mentioned before, I'd be quite happy to pay a premium for your block, and I'm sure others would too!

Btw, did I see you had a cad file of the FTW-k layout?

Help me Obi-Wan Krzysztof47! 🤣 (Also have a good Christmas everyone)

Wow these looked really nice which should be so from a Wera user .  I wasn't looking to purchase. I just wanted to comment on how great it was to be able to make these. Then I slowly noticed the dates when the thread was started lol. I'm actually impressed with the spliced oring being able to hold pressure. I'd be rather nervous about doing that, though.

Thank you, I greatly appreciate it. Yes I own a small Wera low torque setting screw driver for fine work.  Yes I apologize I never delivered these to the market for others to enjoy.

That is the only way I was able to make seals for them, I had to use Buna-N gaskets with a softer durometer as Viton is too hard.  I used a special super glue for bonding elastomers together.  Obviously the proper way is to get the gaskets made and formed to size instead of splicing.
