I guess EVGA aren't planning one as with X99.

For why?

Actually, EVGA isn't planning on releasing any X299 motherboards within our lifetimes.

No one in Australia has any EVGA X299 boards as of yet.
But I would really like to know the thinking behind not doing any ATX designs.

The eatx board fits most atx cases. I used the x79 dark in a regular atx case, even though it was an eatx board. The cables are a little bit tight on the bends, but they typically fit.

Since EVGA has not yet released the X299 FTW, there may be changes and the board may end up being atx sizing. Lord knows they changed sized and features on the 1080ti enough to confuse anyone before they released.

Yeah I really think the EATX thing is a bit over.
Cases are typically smaller and less people are using SLi.

My case, a Fractal Design Define S definitely won't fit it, especially with a rad in the roof.

I really hope they do an ATX board, if not for X299 then for the next Intel socket.
To be honest I wouldn't mind skipping 2066, I remember when AMD came out with the first 64 bit dual core and Intel rush released a sub par 2 core chip and socket.

Intel's next socket will be much better & I would bet much better than what ever AMD will have by then.

they will fit in most atx cases, the easy way to tell is if you have holes for cable routing then they will fit, if you dont and there is a lip or bump then they wont. my x58 classified always was in a atx midtower, it was a bit cramped but it fit just fine.

I guess you could force it in there if you like having your rad hovering over the cpu block lol.
