I had it set at 8000 polling, everything was working fine. but, I hopped on my computer today and it's constantly dropping [even with everything closed(no game running)], sometimes it will only come back when i switch profiles(and that doesnt always bring it back to moving so it may just be random).
Clicks/buttons work fine even when it can't move the cursor.
I reset it back to 1000 & rebooted, as that appeared to help someone else with a similar problem. but it's still doing it.
I hit the 'reset to factory setting' and it didnt look like it did much other than rebooting unleash.
Tried on another computer and it does the same thing.
mouse firmware is 1.64.
unleash is v 1.0.6

I have two of these mice. 1 on the gaming rig that was giving me the issues in the other thread. The other mouse is on a this rig that I mainly use for the web and a few other design programs which has not given me any issues. Gaming rig is win10 pro and this rig is still on win7 pro both 64 bit. Both  mouse firmware is 1.64 and unleash is v 1.0.6.

When the one was dropping out for me I could hear windows chime the same as when you unplug a usb stick and the lights would shut off for 5-10 seconds. So that was a pretty obvious drop.
Op, did you hit apply prior to reboot?

Not to hijack but another thing I am finding on both rigs with identical mice is that if I open unleash and click the lighting tab the forward and rear lights reset to black color with 0% brightness. Both lights have to be set again.

Edit, never mind
I think I solved that by clicking the chain link and applying that. so far so good.

Its just the tracking that is failing, the sensor is clean, and i blew some (electronic safe) air at it just to make sure.
When the tracking stops its' not disconnecting from the computer, it simply stops letting me move the cursor around: there's no chime when it happens, still shows up in unleash & device manager, and I can still left/right click with it, and the profile/side buttons still do their functions as well.

i did hit apply before rebooting, i do with the apply button would gray out when there's nothing to apply to confirm its been applied though haha.

you can try changing the "profile" on the fly using the profile button on top of the dpi button, to see if that resolves it from becoming unresponsive

RMA and ask for the secret RMA policy, so you don't pay for shipping.

are you running an X570 mobo? if so update the Bois. You are describing an old X570 Bois problem, should be patched with the new AGESA code

if it's tracking its a sensor issue otherwise check the firmware if it is updated
