Since the last windows update i'm getting a ton of disconnects IMO there could be something related to windows replacing drivers and it could also be related to the AMD platform im running (i have an Amd R9 5900HX gaming laptop) which is (was) known to have various usb problems So, as i said, i'm getting a lot of disconnects again (it was fine for quite a number of month) after the latest Windows updates and especially after waking the laptop up.( I usually dont shutdown the laptop, i just lock the screen and it eventually gets into the retarded S0 sleep mode waking whenever it feels like it - no S3 sleep mode on this laptop) Anyway, i just updated to the latest unleash/firmware and will see how it goes.

Well, updating to latest unleash/firmware didnt help. But i did remember that last time i got it fixed, i messed with USB power management settings so i rechecked and the setting was on. So i sort of solved the disconnects issue (again) by unchecking the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on all USB root hubs and host controllers in device manager. This solution might be particular to my hardware tho (Asus G733QS gaming laptop with Ryzen 9 5900HX and obviously an AMD chipset motherboard)

It seems that the mouse has the same behavior as the Z20 keyboard. Could the problem be the Unleash RGB software? I'm also on the x570 chipset and an amd 5900x, and if it's still said that there are some problems recognized by the manufacturers regarding this chipset, why then do other keyboards and mice from other manufacturers NEVER DISCONNECT? it's just the same PC, right? and when I say that, I tested various keyboards with 1-2 USB hubs, and with lighting, macro keys, multimedia to simulate its consumption as accurately as possible.

Still having major USB disconnection issues with the X15, In fact the software/firmware updates may have made it even worse.

While still using my motherboard's USB ports, The disconnection issue seems to have stopped at the same time I installed an old USB3 PCIE card. Also I had started to notice a pattern with the disconnections, It happened way more often whenever I lifted the mouse off the pad. --- Edit: The disconnection issue has returned and still occurs on the USB pcie card.

I am having a similar issue. Firmware V1.49 up to date unleash.
win11 - 21H2
It has been randomly pausing while I move. not in games so much that I have noticed. but absolutely on the desktop, browsing. and seems to be related to multiple monitors.. i can make it stutter and or disconnect while moving from monitor to monitor (screen to screen) poling rate is set to 1000hz both USB 2 and 3.. but we know this doesn't matter.
My X17 on the other hand 0 issues. 8000hz "report rate" It seems to be since a Windows update last month which is why I updated the firmware and the unleash.. but that's made it worse actually.
as my PC is in an awkward spot i have to restart it to get it working again.. then could be a day or 2 and nothing but then it starts up again.
i9 12900k MSI Edge Z690 6gb Kingston FURY RGB RAM (DDR4) MSI SUPRIM x 3080ti all up todate.

worse than that sometimes the same thing happens with mine, I heard that the problem could be related to the USB, it is not compatible with 3.0, only with 2.0, how do I do it then? I have an Rampage Encore, I don't have any USB 2.0 and from what I've seen it's an old problem and even after years and several complaints they haven't resolved it, I'm thinking of returning it and asking for the money back

I noticed my Acer monitor with reflex will not allow the mouse port to work on boot up. But the first bar of white light would light up with i clicked on the left right clicks. So i went into the monitor settings and enabled reflex, and that turned the mouse on then I disabled the reflex and everything works fine. Crazy! I always assumed reflex was partly the cause somehow. But, this info really is probably useless for you.

I have been having this issue for about a month where it randomly disconnects my X15. When it has happened, which was frequently every day, I'm talking 10-15 times a day, I'd just reset the USB plug in my PC. Three days ago though, I turned off all the lighting for the mouse in Unleash RGB, including the RGB lightbar in settings. I haven't had a single disconnect since I've done that. It could be related, it could be coincidence, but that's what worked for me. Yeah, I take that back, got 2 lucky days out of it. Please fix this issue, it's annoying.

This issue is so frustrating. I've been having these disconnects happening multiple times DAILY now. I'm so fed up with this disconnecting problem at this point and I have no idea what else to do. I've tried the latest updates as well as downgrading the firmware and the mouse is still disconnecting randomly. The mouse is pretty much useless since I can't rely on it to work ever. Having to constantly unplug it and plug it back in multiple times throughout the day, hoping that it stays connected has made this product such a bad joke. I have a logitech g600, logitech g700, logitech g604, a Mad Catz M.M.O 7, and this EVGA x15 mouse issue has made this by far the worst mouse I've ever had. Please fix this already!

I don't see mobilization from EVGA to fix this problem that seems to persist for a year or more, the only idea I can come up with is to try to start a boycott campaign until they really fix the problem definitively, we can't forget that it's our money that is being thrown in the trash

EVGATech_JaesonW Product Management is aware, and should be fixed in the next update. No ETA for when that will be available unfortunately. In the mean time, if you're having issues with the latest firmware, you can download an older one here and flash it until the next update -
I think I have a pretty easy solution to this issue. I managed to use the tool linked by EVGATech_JaesonW above downgrade my firmware to 1.28 (I cannot link it for some reason). Steps:
- Download the tool linked above and extract to your desktop.
- Download and install EVGA Unleash RGB software version 1.0.13.0 ( )
- Copy "X15_v1.28.bin" (located in C:\Program Files (x86)\EVGA\Unleash RGB\Firmware)
- Paste into the firmware tool folder you extracted to your desktop
- Rename "X15_v1.28.bin" to "_X15_v.bin"
- Run "_X15Update.bat"
- Run EVGA unleashed and check settings to see if the firmware downgraded.
So far, the mouse is running much better especially on bootup. Will report if I have any issues.
I'm getting tired, I've tried many things, but the problem persists, do you have any predictions to solve it? I'm amazed how my redragon perdition3 mouse doesn't have this problem

the problem persists in this version too, the firmware was on 1.49, and even on 1.49 it was still not resolved?! How has this problem persisted for so long?

Best you can do is buy a "new" one from amazon and put your old one back in the box. EVGA's rma is just flat out bad because they pretend they don't know what this issue is even if you link this thread They'll make you fill out a support ticket and get a rma number that lasts 1 week. This is clearly a known issue if over a year of updates to unleashed have failed to solve it to the point it should be sent out immediately. At one point it was cheaper to buy and keep a new one from amazon than pay the cross shipping price for an rma. You'd think after making purchases from evga.com they could see all you want to do is use their products and your not trying to fraudulently requesting replacements doing rma's for fun? and take your word that the mouse has issues. When your mouse keeps disconnecting, open up unleashed and watch the program itself backscreens as the mouse disconnects and reconnects, Sometimes it detects a second x15 plugged in, sometimes you cant navigate the options at all. In a pinch you can sometimes factory restore the mouse, uninstall and reinstall unleashed to stop the disconnecting for a few days.

Does anyone in the community know how to solve this problem? since the company itself is incompetent to solve the problem itself and RMA, so it was in our hands

In my case lifting the mouse off the mouse pad almost always results in the disconnection issue. Hopefully this helps EVGA fix the dam issue.

and it is the worst problem so far in my point of view, and this problem should be a priority, a problem that prevents the product from working correctly should be fixed as soon as possible

I've also been experiencing the disconnects with two different x15 mice for the last year or so. Currently on win11 with v1.45 firmware and lots of disconnects. In for updates. For the couple people that have the backwards/unreliable scrolling issue, i also had that on both mice. I fixed them both by cleaning the contacts in the rotary sensor (you could also just replace the sensor for a few dollars). It's about a 15 minute repair and it's been working perfectly for months since the cleaning. EVGA thoughtlessly stripped my link to the guide, but you can search google/reddit for "how_to_repair_an_evga_x15_scroll_wheel" to find it.
