I've been living here for 12 years now and I'm a very paranoid person, Every night before I go to sleep I hear things and I see shadows all over my house especially in my room. I don't believe in all that paranormal activity, But I've been wanting to record my whole room while I sleep. I'm kind of scared that I will see something I don't want to see so I'm not sure how I feel about this >_<!

Have you ever done this or have you thought about doing it?

Edit: P.S. There's times I get so scared before sleep that I start shaking up real bad and I have to turn my phone or tablet on to get some light. I'll just be laying there and I'll have a feeling someone is going to grab my leg and drag me across the house.

Just one suggestion: get off the hard stuff bro XD

JK, unless you are on hard stuff? :P
And no, that sounds crappy. Ever considered using dim red light to keep your room lit up a bit but not so disruptive to your sleep?

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd.

I would, but for another reason. To see how well I sleep. If I catch something paranormal. Cool, they haven't bothered me yet, so why would I worry after the fact.
So you see stuff, if it becomes an issue, then I would be worried. Not all paranormal activity, if you believe in it, is harmful.

Ha! I hate having my legs out from underneath the blanket. It's funny how you can feel safe with just a blanket over you, like it's some iron clad blanket an impostor won't be able to break through as long as my whole body is under it. When my bed had a frame and space under it, I couldn't help but think something was going to grab my foot before I got to lay down in my bed once I turn off the light to go lay down and the room is pitch black.

But really, those are just funny thoughts in the back of my head that I know are not reality and stuff I've only seen in the movies. Movies effect peoples thoughts more than some want to admit, but I know after I've watched a horror movie with flickering lights or some kind of horrific bedroom scene, it lingers in my thoughts for a few weeks... Like if a light burns out right as soon as I turn it on, it works me up, like when they que music before a scary scene in a horror movie.

So true! I used to sleep with full blankets in the middle of the summer because i was scared of things, now it doesnt bother me that much.

Awwwwww OP you feel the same way as I do. If you're single I guess it is not an uncommon occurrence for our type. I am just as paranoid as you. I won't even go outside at night.

Do you think you are subconsciously afraid of a home invasion by people? Or is it really a fear of something paranormal? Do you live alone?

I am not afraid of a home invasion, I am well prepared for that. It's more paranormal.

That's a tough one then. To me, sounds like you got it licked if you feel secure from people. I believe in supernatural beings, but I believe they prefer to keep us "in the dark" and thus would never expose themselves tangibly. The suggestion about adding some red lights in your room might help you relax since, someone correct me if I'm wrong, reddish light does not trigger the brain into wakefulness...

I used to get the feeling like someone was watching me when I stayed over at my ex's house. Sometimes I would wake up and swear that I saw something out of the corner of my eye, but I just passed it off cause I just woke up or something. No I would not record myself sleeping unless it was for a medical reason. I mean if you've got stuff getting torn up around the house or something really weird then yeah then maybe get concerned... or find a new place to live lol.

+1 to this. I would like to see how I move at night and such. Sometimes I wake up completely sideways on the bed and my GF has told me that I twitch at night too, almost like one of those dogs running in their sleep.

On a serious note, I'm 17 and I have to sleep with the TV on or I have a hard time falling asleep because my fear is still the dark and things coming out of it. I think I see stuff in my room and I have to use my phone too, but ultimately I know nothing is there. You just have to KNOW in your mind that it's all eye tricks. Unless someone else in the house is also having the issue it's just your mind and you really just need to not think about it.

As for recording yourself sleeping... would NOT do it. I have this thing against cameras, as in I do not want my picture or video taken.

As for being freaked out and paranoid all the time, yep that's me

You guys crack me up.  I just sleep.  I believe in the supernatural but I'm not worried about it at night.  I also like my bed room as dark as possible.  As for cameras go.  If there's one in the bedroom it ain't for paranormal activity!

If you fear the paranormal then just wait until you have a mother-in-law that just won't seem to die...ever.

The answer is nope, i have paranormal activites in me brain, every time i read drama in the forums

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

As for recording yourself sleeping... would NOT do it. I have this thing against cameras, as in I do not want my picture or video taken.

As for being freaked out and paranoid all the time, yep that's me

May I ask, Why don't you like having your picture taken or being recorded?

I have an uncle who is the same way, But he has..... reason. I know why he doesn't he has a bad past. Not a good thing to speak of on the internet of though.

Because I'm scared a random ghost will appear in the background!
