I have 40 hours to decide, but I got notified I got in for the NVidia DOOM Bundle raffle to buy the 3080 Ti Founder's Edition. See link for more info:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/doom-eternal-rtx-3080-ti-demon-slayer-bundle/

The bundle costs $1450 (before Taxes) and includes this:

Alongside a copy of the game, and our flagship gaming GPU, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, youโ€™ll get:
  • An exclusive Titanium Slayer Collectible mini-figure, matching the aesthetics of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
  • An exclusive Titanium DOOM Eternal-GeForce RTX t-shirt
  • An exclusive DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods oversized 15.75 inch x 35.44 inch mouse pad, featuring key art from part 2 of the campaign expansion
  • $100 of Bethesda Store credit

So my question is would you buy one at $1450? I'm asking because I'm torn on what to do. I need a new computer before Battlefield 2042 comes out and all I have is 970 GTX in SLI, so that would not really cut it graphically. But finding even mid-range cards seems impossible right now, even though I'm in the EVGA queue. I realize this is priced high, but in reality I do get $100 off towards bathesda stuff (so I assume games too)..but in general is this a ripoff? Would you just wait it out for the cards from EVGA (which I really love) or do I just get the 3080 (non-TI)? Any suggestions appreciated, thank you!

I have not heard of this promotion! Darn it, I would have entered and bought it if I were selected. Cool collection piece.

If you are concerned with value, pass on it. If you are a fan of DOOM, then sure.

well look it this way things arent going to get better for gpus anytime soon and the new Bf game comes out in oct . IF you were going for the evga 3080 people are still on the wait list for that the wait list from oct 2020 , and even if you get called on the 3080ti ftw its about the same price as this whole bundle . evga has the option for a 5 year or 10 year warranty while the founders is 3 years if warranty .  IF you dont get the bundle then you prob wont get ur 3080 in time for bf but if u do wait you pay 900 for a 3080 compared to 1450

Founders Edition cards are hard to beat; not perfect, but very good in most ways.  If I had the opportunity and need, I am pretty sure that I would buy a FE card.  EVGA's cards are an absolute train-wreck this generation; I wouldn't hold out for one.

I would buy it as the mini figure alone could be worth hundreds to a collector since only 300 exist.

They may only have 300 bundles, but not necessarily cards. :)

Thank you so much for the inputs - yeah, I think the sobering reality of the delay in getting cards is pushing me towards getting it. In general I can afford this, but also buying a new house this year so I need to be saving, but dang I've not updated my computer in over 6 years now so I think I'm due. I have an empty case waiting for components, so if I get this, I just need to pair it with the rest - more investigation work to do. Thanks again for all the great inputs.

If you donโ€™t have a 3080 Ti and want one, itโ€™s a no-brainer. Buy it, enjoy it, and enjoy the added DOOM perks.

Yeah,  the value is great when you actually think about it.   I signed up for this & didn't win.

I wanted this bundle pretty bad... even though I already have the game - mostly just for the collectability of the whole thing

I signed up initially too and didn't get it, and it was supposed to end on July 8th (well that was the day they sent out links to all chosen). I got my rejection email and so I figured that was in, but here we are nearly 3 weeks later and they send me email out of the blue. I guess, even with 300 packages, they didn't get people to bite on them, and since they give every person 48 hours to pay makes it drag out so we are here 3 weeks later.

Buy it and if by the time you get it, you decide you don't want it, provided you have good HeatWare, I will put $200 on top of what it cost you to sell to me (unused and unopened)

I doubt they didn't get people to bite on them - I signed up the day it was announced and of course wasn't one of the lucky 300.  I guess some people waffled and in the end chose not to buy, so I guess you're one of the [presumably few] replacement selections.  Congrats!

I will probably keep it at this point - so hard to get any cards it seems. Thanks though.

Good question about the pic - It has been at least 10 years since I joined EVGA forums, and that picture was never mine originally, found it on the internet back then. I miss booth girls - hehe.
