Okay so my buddy refuses to update stuff and im trying to help make his stuff work. Basically he has a 730i chipset mobo by evga.
The link is to the exact mobo. He has a gtx590 and 8 gigs of ram. So, this machine was running fine with win7 and 10 but once the new creators update came out something went wrong and it kept trying to "repair or fix the os" but never fixed it, it just kept looping and restarting over and over.

I then installed windows 10 fresh and it installed creators update immediately and right after the creators update is done everything seems fine.

Now when the chipset drivers are installed, it asks for a restart. After it restarts before it loads windows 10 i get the spinning dots continuously for a few hours even and never gets passed this part. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Ive tried different hds thinking the hd was going out but when it happened at the same part one two different hds i ruled out the storage.

I'd try nForce Driver Version 15.56 for 64-bit Win7 or for 32-bit Win7 (depending on if you have 64 or 32 bit Win10) and if that don't fly I'd let Win10 install what it wants to and then go into Device Manager and see if there's any problem devices and what they're all about..Legacy mobo probably not fully supported by Win10..Running Windows Update might cough up something, maybe.

There shouldn't be any drivers required for this board in Win 10, as it should find everything automatically. After Windows is installed, do you see any errors in Device Manager? If you do, please post a screenshot and we should be able to determine just what is needed. Unfortunately it's possible that there's an incompatibility with the Creator's Update, but we will need a bit more information before being able to determine this.
