Probably doesnt make sense to leave my titanx hc as secondary, right? Would just slow down the 2080ti hc?

You could leave them both on there.  The Titan can be used to fold or do among other things.  You just won't have SLI/NVLink working.

I had my 580 as a dedicated physx for a long while, with my titan x as main card.
It didnt hurt my games at all, and actually made the titan x cooler, as it took the physx load off of it.

Cool, Thank you. Maybe I can have the Titan do the video encoding for streams so the 2080ti can focus on the sim.

Waiting for the GTX2080Ti HydroCopper as well - water block can already be ordered but don't want to loose warranty when modifying a brand new card

You won't as long as you don't damage the card.
