I will have to wait 2 months, i think, for the Eisbaer2.

Until then:
Port Royal:12 798

Finally cracked 12.8K myself just now:

Don't even know if I can duplicate that cuz something in the GPU settings I think is on the edge of stability, probably the +150 core part of it.

Still, pretty cool I'm approaching 13K with a single 3080.  Here's hoping I can beat that with a Hybrid card in about 6 weeks? lol

Between 145 and 120.
Depends on the ram overclock i am messing with at the time.
With my card i am not able to get 150 stable, whichever way, concerning port royal.

I am currently testing the "max boost" button on the lower right corner of PX1.
It seems to need a different kind of powertweak (Long-Haul edition).
The undervolter topic comes to mind thinking about optimal settings for it.

I got my 3080 FTW Ultra. It's a brilliant card, well built, nice RGB and best of all is the performance. Runs much better than my 2080ti FE.

So you are not gonna wait for 3090 anymore?

I have been fighting with this EK AIO all evening to try & get the mounting pressure right, followed the instructions, I think the brackets were bent or something... I feel like I finally got it on there right, but temps aren't any better than the 280MM I had on there before.  Exhausted, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow, remount it again, and if temps still aren't better, I'm just gonna return it for a refund.
Sucks because the Fans/RGB headers are a very nice change from the Thermaltake RGB controllers I had to use before... but I can't justify spending $160 on an AIO & not seeing any change in temperatures.  If anything it's STILL running slightly warmer, so I think mounting pressure might still be an issue.  It's way better than it was, before I was thermally throttling under AIDA64 load at STOCK, now it's NOT throttling at 5GHz, but it's getting in to the mid 90s, which is worse than the 280mm AIO I had on it before, which maxed out in the low 90s.
I'm hoping re-bending the brackets back "out" more so they're adding a bit more force will work.  The only other thing I can think of is bubbles being stuck in the CPU block, that would also require unmounting it to fix as I'd need to flip it over (tubes are coming out of the bottom currently).

Nice lookin' setup!

how long do you have to run  AIDA64 to see temps in the mid 90s ?

It wasn't instantaneous, but within like the first 30 seconds.  The first time I mounted it it was super quick, but that was from the paste making almost no total-contact... I have a picture of just how bad it was somewhere... It was the worst I've ever seen, only the top bit actually made real contact, the rest of it was so "light" that the paste wasn't even fully disturbed on the block when I removed it.

I redid it AGAIN in the last 2 hours and it seems to finally be happy.  Load temps are now LOWER than the 280mm AIO was, slightly, which is what I was originally expecting.  Now it's idling in the mid-to-high 20s Celsius & peaking at about 85-89C under CPU/FPU/Cache load which is AVX heavy stuff, vs the old AIO was getting 91-94C under the same load... granted that was peaks during a full hour of testing, whereas the 85-89C was during about 2 minutes... but I'll run a full hour of it when I'm not eager to do ANYTHING but worry about this lol

I now have the tubes coming out of the CPU block oriented "up" which unfortunately means one of the connectors is sort of making contact with one of the VRM heatsinks at one corner, but I don't think that should be a serious issue seeing as my VRMs only get in to the mid-to-high 40s if I'm under very heavy CPU load.  It looks a bit janky, but it's working now.  Got the RGB all coordinated & the fans are plugged in to individual motherboard headers instead of using a stupid splitter, for now... if I keep this AIO which I'm still on the fence about until I give it a more thorough test, I will end up buying a fan controller hub for all those fans so there's only one "PWM control" wire coming out to the motherboard instead of having "7" 4-pin connectors plugged in to it (6 fans + the CPU block pump wire).

Witness tha jank:

Congrats ! Give the paste a couple of powercycles time. It will only get better !

brainfart directly from the saltmines:

Maybe you simply have gaps the paste is not optimized for ?
The viscosity of the paste could be checked by using a vastly different one (looser vs harder)

ps: You have bent it back once now. Kinda still ok.
But you'll get nowhere if it needs you to do it again.

I thought that was the problem, mounting pressure or unevenness etc... that's why I unmounted it the last time, the temps were "decent" that time, but there was still oddities in the paste when it was removed again, it seemed like the top & bottom were fine but parts of the middle somehow had bad contact?  I was so confused by that, then I discovered the brackets themselves apparently were flipped compared to how they "should" be, and that OR the re-orientation of the block, or a combination of both, seems to have fixed it.
I'm hoping as the paste "cures" it gets even better temps wise, but I won't hold my breathe.  If it just maintains the slight temperature improvement it's giving me now, I'll at least be less unhappy about the purchase.  I'm still debating returning it TBH, especially when considering the fact that I'm planning to get a Hybrid card again, which means I have to fit that AIO's radiator somewhere as well.
I'm gonna give it a few days of use to "cure" the paste etc, then run a hard AVX load again & see what the temps are with similar ambients to the last time I ran it.

This is the OLD AIO's numbers at 5GHz 1.31V for an hour under the AVX load of CPU/FPU/Cache all at once in AIDA 64:

So my previous statement of "94C" is actually erroneous I guess on the old AIO... and that means the new one is not really doing any better, actually... if that's the case when I restest it in a few days, it's likely going back.
Which really sucks because like I said, the aRGB header support of the Vardar S fans, and the fans themselves, is really nice & much easier wiring everything up than the Thermaltake Riing/Controller wiring.  But I can't see spending $160 on a new AIO just for looks, and having a 360mm actually significantly makes it harder for me to mount the AIO of any Hybrid card I get later... whereas with a 280mm AIO for the CPU, I'm fairly certain I could cram a 240mm rad from the GPU up top as well, they'd just be a tight fit.
I should've just went with the full on open loop starter kit EK sells, at least then I'd be able to put the radiator wherever I want it instead of being limited by tube length.  Might still do that if I return this unit.  I may see if the other computer person I know locally wants to buy it, fully disclosing the fact that the temps are "normal/good" but not excellent, etc.
I just didn't want to fork out $419+ on a full on open loop setup for just the CPU if I could help it, but it's looking like that's what I should've done instead of trying to stick to the AIO route.

Welp, I yanked it.  I tried to run AIDA64 again on the EK AIO & the system rebooted after about a minute & a half.  Removed the EK completely, put the Thermaltake back in & what do ya know, 85C maximum temp on a core, 88C maximum package temp after the same amount of time.  I do not understand how with superior fans & surface area the EK AIO was performing worse.  Maybe I just got a bad unit, either way I'm returning it for a refund.
Back to the gaming & just enjoying a system that works for now cuz I've had enough stress for a month over the last 2 days.

Have Fun !

ps: Come monday dial your llc down a peg and compensate with +0.03ish more vcore if really needed.
I'll bet a german bratwurst against  ... anything from popeyes really, that your temps will go down a tad.

Well I'm waiting on EK to get back to me about whether or not they're going to let me return this thing, I bought it through Amazon but it's direct from EK through Amazon... I just don't see the point in waiting on new mounting hardware when it could actually be a defective unit, and then I'd have to go through a second run around to get a new AIO shipped, then that could take a while because they're not actually in stock right now... better off just returning it for a refund & getting the EK X360 open loop starter kit later.  Very disappointed the AIO didn't work out though, it is one of the most visually awesome ones I've ever seen.

I plan on fiddling with my CPU settings further to try & bring the actual-voltage read in Windows down, right now I'm seeing as high as 1.36-1.38V which is crazy, but I tried lowering voltage set in BIOS & that resulted in failure on the AIDA 64 system stability test with in about 15 minutes... where as the 1.31V with the higher LLC levels passes an hour & has yet to give me any issues in games... only runs hot-hot under AVX workload, with the Thermaltake Floe 280mm AIO, and even then it's "only" low 90s if my ambient is warm, peak temps under that load for an hour, with the temps mostly being high 70s low 80s.

I did figure out with the resolution scaling I'm using in GTA V, I'm actually playing at "ultrawide 4K" lol 5160 x 2160... runs pretty smooth on the 3080 and doesn't need much/any antialiasing at all.  Pretty impressive, and only seeing 6-8GB of vRAM usage with things pretty much maxed, other than AA, and with 2 visual mods installed to make the game look "better", mostly staying in the 80-100fps range (my GSync/VSync cap is 100Hz to save the GPU some work).  I did that in combination with lowering the Power Target slider on X1 to 90%, and the GPU runs mostly in the high 50s C, with the fans at 85% (which isn't audible over the game with headphones or good speakers).  Lookin' good...

Next up on my gaming docket is Watch Dogs/Watch Dogs 2 in preparation for Legion coming out next week... Figure I'll still be experiencing WD2 for the first time by the time I'm done downloading Legion (my internet is garbageo, max download rate is about 500kb/s-1MB/s).

So I just found this out, apparently I'm the #4 score in da wurld for my system setup?  That's kinda spiffy:

Currently waiting on the AIO to get returned to EK & them to send the new one out.
I think I'm just going to resell it to a friend that's interested when it arrives then wait & get the full open loop starter kit.
The AIO was a special deal where it came with 6 fans instead of 3, so I'm in essence getting 3 fans for free :-D Those fans are sick by the way, I wouldn't say they're worth the $80 that they sell for a 3 pack, but they're very good.  They move a lot of air at even 50% (at which they are basically whisper quiet), and the RGB on them is awesome, not to bright but very vibrant.
Also working on optimizing fan arrangement, though I'm going to have to start over once I get a Hybrid 3080 in the system of course, as that will change the flow-profile having another radiator in the case... but here's a look:

I really gotta find a good glass cleaner for this tempered glass too, it's kinda foggy at the moment.

Rearranged some things in preparation for an eventual Hybrid 3080 & open loop on the CPU, added the 200mm back in temporarily as a "here's more air" for the GPU area:

Doubles as nighttime room illumination. lol

Also finally got around to cleaning the glass, mostly... the front panel glass that's the smaller piece inserted there has 2 "blobs" of something sticky I can't get off, gonna haveta find some harsher cleaner that won't wreck the glass.

Oh, I also bought these ridiculous fans, just to see if they work, what they look like, how much air they move, and give them an honest go:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08174WFGL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm expecting them to be utter garbage, but they do have a decent amount of good reviews and only a handful of "they died" "half of them were dead" etc.
