Hey Dabadger84 do you by chance have a photo of the backplate side of that card? Looking to see if they fixed the POSCAP capacitor problem on the FTW3 Ultra.
 
 
I just watched this video on the RTX 3080 20GB model coming out soon. It's not a lot more money according to "Moore's Law Is Dead". This is going to be a tough decision. Wait or buy, wait or buy, wait or buy

The thing about the 20GB model is, unless you're gaming at 4K, I don't think you're going to see more than 10GB of vRAM in games for another year or two at least.  Even Crysis Remastered is in the 9-10GB range from what testing I saw done in it, and that game has been designed from the ground up to make systems look weak.
My aim was to get a 3080 before the 3070 came out so I could sell my 1080 Ti before it's value drops even further after the 3070 is released, and I managed that, I also found a local buyer for my 1080 Ti Hybrid, so no EBay fees or such :-D Reselling it for $400 cash, and I definitely got my money out of that card over the last 2 years.
If you're also using the card for rendering etc, then the 20GB model is definitely worth waiting for, but otherwise, I'd say the 10GB model is fine.

I recently purchased the new Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor and I am trying to run Warzone in 2,560 x 1,440 resolution with all setting maxed Do you think I will be pushing this card to its limit? I would like it to last a while hence why I was thinking about the 20gb 3080. Could even go with the 3090 but I am running a 5 year old EVGA Classified X99 motherboard. Eventually I will upgrade the motherboard and processor for the PCIe 4.0 slot.

I would definitely upgrade your platform sooner rather than later.  I went from a 3930K/X79 setup to 9900K/Z390 in February of 2019 and the jump in performance I got from my 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid alone was insane, especially on CPU dependent games, but that's also going from DDR3 to DDR4 so my jump in performance would be bigger than what you'd see.
A lot of people with much-older gen CPUs are seeing very odd performance from the 30-series cards from what I've seen, even some people with like 7700Ks are not seeing the numbers people with 900-series or 1000-series CPUs are.  Gonna be very interesting seeing how the 5900X/5950X from AMD handles the 30-series cards compared to the 10900K & 9900K.  I'm planning on going Gen3 Threadripper in about a year myself, mostly for workstation type stuff more than strictly for gaming.

Definitely wait for the AMD 5000-series CPUs & see how they perform, make a decision from there, that's my plan as well, because the highest end Zen 3 should show how Threadripper 3 will perform, roughly.
My monitor is still "new" to me even though I've had it for about 2 years, I love it still, I don't think I'll ever go back to 16 by 9 gaming.
So I'm in the process of retesting with 5GHz CPU settings, so far, results are going up a fair bit, except for Port Royal, it just kinda laughed & gave me an extra ~100pts.
I'll post more thorough results when I'm done with the tests.  My TimeSpy normal run is about where it should be now, CPU speed definitely cramps your results in that one.

I've gotten as high as 12.4k I think. I'm gonna make a 5GHz cpu 4000MHz RAM maxed out gpu run tonight when it's cool in here & I figure out where my gpu maxes out at.

That 12k run was done at all stock except the gpu vRAM.

I'm hoping I can crack 13K with the Core & vRAM OCed at the same time once I figure out what my max stable core is.
 
With my CPU & RAM at stock, I got 12093 with just the vRAM @ +800 & with the +100 above score being 12.3k almost, I might have a shot.
 
I'm kinda thinking I should wait til I get the EK AIO on next week & then see if I can maybe hit 5.1 or 5.2 stable on my CPU without hitting thermal throttling... I could Yolo 5.1 just for Port Royal, but I don't think that tiny increase in speed would net much gains since Port Royal is like 90% GPU 10% CPU/RAM speeds.  As indicated by the fact that I'm getting almost 12271 "stock" with just the GPU Core @ +100, & I got 12436 with the CPU @ 5GHz & +100 on the core.
 
We'll see tonight :-D I will probably give it a go once it's nice & 69F or lower in here.

Mine says today from UPS.. But its still like 8 states away from me... LOL... I'm thinking tuesday now.  The original delivery was tuesday but they updated it on friday to monday..  I did 2nd day air on thursday.

Yeah my new EK AIO is moving at the speed of slug as well.  It shipped on Thursday of last week but is showing it won't be here til Wednesday... even worse, it STARTED only one state away from me... so if their delivery time is accurate, it will take it 6 days to travel ~800 miles lol I could've driven & picked the thing up & been back home in under 2 days, and that's with sight seeing on the way there or back.  Yesh.  But I got it through Amazon & I have Prime, so shipping was freeeeeeeeee lol vs EK's website it would've been $28, so I saved $30 and it's not like my current AIO is dying or anything, it's less than 2 years old.
I'll be reselling my current one to someone that wants all da RGBs, and the EK unit is coming with 6 fans instead of 3 (it's a 360), so I'll be able to have Push/Pull right out of the gate.  Getting 6 Vardar RGB fans & the AIO for $163 shipped was too good of a deal to pass up... and apparently I'm not the only one that thought that because that packaged deal was out of stock within an hour of me seeing it & ordering.
Once I get that on, I'll resume the CPU OCing adventures & see if I can finally hit 5.1 or 5.2GHz stable without thermal throttling (every time I've tried to get 5.1 on this AIO it's either no stable & crashes, or something else happens & the system reboots)

Cooler Master ML360R with 6 fans works great on my 9900K 

I will have to wait 2 months, i think, for the Eisbaer2.

I was on that crap like white on rice as soon as the site stopped crashing.  I think I was in the first or second batch after they setup the notification system.
Apparently the queue for day 1 is huge, so once they get to day 2, things should speed up quite a bit for everyone after that.

I'm getting SIX of those with the AIO instead of the normal 3 because they had a packaged-deal sale going on on Amazon that sold out in less than an hour.  
So I'm basically paying... what... $5 for the actual AIO if you subtract what the fans are supposed to be worth? LOL

And it's fully controllable with most motherboard RGB software so there's no additional bloatware to install, just have to plug the RGB header in to any 5V aRGB connector.
 
I think I am gonna end up getting a FTW3 Hybrid 3080 when they come out & reselling this one.  I love the card, but with the way my case etc is setup the heat blowing out right at me when I'm gaming makes it pretty intense. lol

What's your offset currently for GPU Core?  I still haven't pushed mine to the limit to see where it tops out yet, I've just been running stuff with +130 core... I suppose I should take the time to do what GamersNexus does, step it up in frequency until it crashes on a loop of windowed 3DMark, then back it down & test thoroughly to make sure it passes.  But I have a feeling I'm gonna hit a wall at around +150 ... What is the stepping for these GPUs anyway, is it +15 increments?  If so I wonder what +130 is actually giving me, +135 or +120...
