Which EVGA cards will be using the reference PCB?  The XC3?  I assumed the Nvidia 3090 FE card used reference, but per EKWB, they do not.

I think the XC3 does. The FTW3/Kingpin will not or any HC FTW3

There are no Founders Edition cards this time around, they are just sold as 3070, 3080, and 3090. I was under the impression that THAT is the reference design. What other design is everyone referring to when they say "no, the OTHER reference design".

EK has already a bloc on their site (not up for sale yet). They mention a "reference" design that is not compatible with FE.

NVidia are the only ones using the 12pin port this time around looks like.
So that won't be the "reference" design.

Now someone from EVGA earlier was saying there isn't a reference design per say this time around.

However you want to call it, usually, the PCB between the XC and FTW are different.
But again we'll need to wait to have more information both from EVGA and manufacturers like EK.

    They will release compatibility lists.
We just need to wait a bit.

Founders Edition cards aren't reference design. I think this is the reference design. Seems to match up to the EK block. I think EVGA might be using all custom PCB. Need some better pictures of the XC3.

That has Got to be a 3090 due to the NVlink fingers on the PCB.

So... we're still not sure if the XC3 is "reference PCB" or not?

I am assuming this is an XC3 reference PCB.
I wish we knew how long it was without all the fans etc but it looks closer to the 230mm that EKWB said they are making blocks for on their website.
It doesnt look like this PCB has enough room for the 3 fans we saw.

Looks like it has the 19 stages the base is suppose to have.

Edit : Or maybe they're suppose to have 20.  I can't find anything conclusive about how many stages 3090 is suppose to have.  Just that 3080 is suppose to have 18.  Weird Nvidia says that for 3080 but not for 3090.

    350W GPU with 2 8-Pins?
    2 x 150 W + 75 W = 375W
    What about spikes?

This is suppose to be the FE I believe.  Its got the cut out for Nvidias different design.

If you compare the pictures the FE seems wider as well as curved in more places etc.
I dont think this is the FE.

Although the spec for a single 8 pin is only 150 watts, the PSU side of the connector can supply as much as 300 watts. That's why Nvidia doesn't recommend 8-pin y cables for the 3080 and the 3090.

Nvidia FE is 10gb 3080 and 8gb 3070; but there are rumors out there AIB can feature 20gb 3080 and 16gb 3070; when will we find out?    it could drive one crazy since preorders are coming soon.   I would totally buy a 20GB 3080 if we knew how/what/when/who was releasing it?    apparently not from nvidia

    There are no pre-orders.
And we don't know if 3080 20GB are ever coming out. And if they do, when.
