I'm wanting to update the BIOS because I can't get Vista or any other pertinent software to format the second Tb on a 2 Tb drive. The BIOS recognizes it as a 2 Tb drive. I notice that there is P09 and P10 available (I have P08). If I use the P10 update, will that also include the P09 changes?

If I need to install P09, where do I get the .exe? The only thing I see is .bin files which are used on a USB flash drive.

If I must use the .bin files, one is directed to the forum for instructions but there is nothing pinned here that tells one how to do this. Help?

Yup that Version P09 should include in P10 that P10 is Update Latest Version. If you want to update to P10 so please read very carefully here > How To Flash Your Bios From USB
And download here Latest BIOS Version P10 Please check if that correct BIOS Verson for your Nforce 780SLi
Before you update your BIOS please make sure all default your motherboard BIOS Setting and When you done update BIOS then power shut unplug PSU and leave for 5 mins. Then after 5 mins let boot up and make sure you can change your last setting in your BIOS Setting and Time date too? Let us know if you still problem or any need help....

    Thanks for your reply-

Even though I'm not using SLI anymore (both cards burned out long ago), the only option provided for my mobo is P09 and P10 (my mobo is 132-CK-NF78-B1).
I don't know what P09 did but do you think that this would fix the formatting issue? I don't need the second Tb but, you know, all of us like to have the full capabilities of our system.
I looked at the procedure for using USB to flash the drive. Way to much work. I'll just burn the ISO to CD or DVD.

    No Problem!!
Lol yeah it best use Image burner ISO to CD but if you are using Win 7 then you can use Window Image Burner. You can read more about ISO etc here > INSTRUCTIONS it helpful for you!
it upto you if you don't want second TB and leave other to use. What I am thinking if you have updated to P10 then try test second TB if it working so I have no idea because I never use TB lol!!!
Yeah I recommend you to formatting before install Fresh OS after you have updated BIOS to P10! It should be work!!!
Let us know if you are still any problem or need help!

How long should this take. It's been sitting at the Boot from CD for 30 minutes and nothing is happening. The drive just keeps flashing. I burned the ISO to a DVD instead of a CD but I wouldn't think this would make any difference.
Turns out the ISO was not burned to the disk. I'll try again.

Not long just under 30 sec depend on your system! Did you use Image Burner  and dosen't matter either DVD or CD!! I use CD to boot up!! DVD possible but waste space left as this ISO is under 2mb!!! So use CD should be fine!! Let me know....
