I saw Kingpin using a 2000w EVGA power supply on his instagram account and was wondering why EVGA doesn't sell it online? I cant find it anywhere..

I am no electrician, so correct me if I am wrong...

In order for the Power Supply to output 2,000 watts you will need to supply it with 2,000+ watts at the wall due to efficiency loss. The typical outlet in a US household is 15 amps @ 120v which equals a max output of 1,800 watts. Which means in the US you would have to install a 20 amp outlet to be able to safely use this power supply at its max output. My guess is this is why its not sold in the US and why Seasonic's largest power supply is 1,300 watts and EVGA's is 1,600. I would even venture to guess that most households outlets would have a hard time feeding the 1,600+ watts needed for the current EVGA Power Supply without blowing a breaker. Would be interesting get TiN's answer on this, I would imagine he would know if I am right or wrong.

Anyway what are you doing that you need 2,000 watts? Why not just use x2 Power Supplies?

Thanks, that makes sense. I actually have a Dominus ROG Extreme for the Intel W-3175X and I want to extreme overclock it along with a Kingpin 2080 ti. I could actually get away with the announced Seasonic TX-1600 (which is capable of outputting 2000W under max load) from Computex this year. Unfortunately it's nowhere to be found either...

The 1600 is more then enough for most builds. Why are you interested in the 2000 model?

For one, I'll be running this thing on LN2:

Second, I just acquired this thing and will soon be getting a Kingpin pot for extreme overclocking:

Although, I've heard Seasonic is coming out with a TX-1600 which can output 2000 watts but of course, its nowhere to be found online:

There are some house 240V sockets in US houses, but you'll have to unplug your kitchen oven or something. Not my idea of ideal.

You might be better off snagging an old server with dual 1100w psus. Put one on a dedicated circuit each and do some wiring to get everything connected but you would have a true 2200w on tap. It ain't gonna look pretty but the highest scoring machines rarely do.
