Three years to the day...the fan controller in my EVGA CLC 280 went bad and my CPU started running very hot.  Talked to Jaeson in support...put in an RMA.  To keep the system up and running...found an EVGA CLC 360 at Microcenter.  Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...the fan speed with three fans vs. 2 in keeping my i7 7820X cool...are quieter.  Also...my cpu temps are about 7C lower.  At full load at 4.6 GHZ...my 8 core will do 66C.  When I get the 280 back from RMA...gonna start getting parts for a new rig.  Looking at 5900X with X570 motherboard...that's where the 360 will live at that time.

Just bit the bullet and ordered an Optimus 3090 FTW3 water block. Whew that was a bit expensive, but it's a thing of beauty..
