Hello, I was looking to purchase a GTX 670 FTW (02G-P4-2678-KR) card from a 3rd party and was hoping to check the warranty status of the card from the serial number. Is this possible or necessary? I know that the warranty is transferable for card made after 2011, I just want to know if there is anything about a single particular card that could negatively impact the warranty if something were to go wrong with the card. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums! You can check the warranty via our Guest RMA process here. When you enter the serial number in at the beginning of the process and continue it will state if it is in warranty and if so how many days are left. Things that can cause issues with a Guest RMA is physical damage/missing components to the card and a missing serial number sticker. Warranty is void if the serial number sticker is removed and any physical damage is not covered under the warranty, (IE missing decals/heat-sinks, broken surface components/PCB, coloring on the monitor ports, etc.). Warranties that are non-transferable are: - Limited 2 Year Suffixes: -LA, -LE, -LR, -LX, -T1, -T2, -TR, -TX
- Limited 1 Year Suffixes: -B1, -BR*, -BX, -DR, -RX
For more info on the warranty in general please see our Warranty Page.

To whose benefit? Definitely not the consumers and I cant see a tangible benefit to the manufacturer as we shift from 10 series to 11 and 20 series cards there will be a skyrocket in secondhand sales and the removal of this feature just made that process more of a headache and is tying up company resources like a limited number of available operators to do a instant web tools job.

The only way you can do that is to call Evga yourself with the serial number and see if they will check it or yes, youd have to register the product to your evga account and it will give you all the info about it at that point.

Like wmmills stated --> it is either call or register My Original statement "after you item is registered is best" --> "your item" indicates you already Own the item. Not everyone wanting to check remaining warranty is buying a used item

Agreed. Very unfriendly of Evga to do that. They must be bored and want the extra calls and hassle us with this inconvenience. Everytime I find an EVGA product online for purchase I have to call. -1 points from me. If there's ever another PSU I want to buy and both are close choices I will go with Evga's competitor if they allowed me to verify the s/n online without registering a product I don't yet own.
