So got my rma completed and shipping back to me super excited. So I just have a question I searched and searched but can't seem to find an answer. When gpus get fixed do they recieve a new serial number I am just really curious. So the only info I have on my rma is the new serial number and model number. The model number is the same which I excepted was never thinking I was going to get an upgrade just super happy I'm getting a replacement but from the research I've gathered the first 2 numbers in the serial number are the year manufactured if this is true the first 2 of mine are 24 and I know unfortunately you guys no longer make gpus. So basically my question is is it possible I'm getting a new gpu instead of a refurbished one I know that's most likely not the case that would so extremely awesome my guess is that the fixed refurbished cards are issued a new serial number. Just wondering the wait is killing me can't wait to get back to gaming and see the card.

I am not 100% sure if it would be old or new stock but the refurbished cards have had a new serial number to indicate that they are refurbished and have passed testing. The new number should be added to your account automatically when they send out the replacement.

Awesome thank you so much for the reply I was just really curious how that worked I couldn't find an answer anywhere I assumed they would just keep the same serial but it would be on file saying that it has been fixed I didn't know if they would issue a whole new serial very interesting thank you
