Is Evga going to release any photos of the upcoming Z390 lineup?

Thanks.

Probably not going to see Z390 chip set mother boards announced until end of this year or start of next year. Intel is having continual issues with 10nm production which Cannon Lake is based on and Cannon Lake has been delayed multiple times because of it. Looking like sometime in 2019 for Cannon Lake and Z390. Doubt any manufactures will unveil Z390 mother boards until Intel is getting ready to release Cannon Lake CPUs (or at least have an official release date). I don't even know if Intel is sending engineering samples of Cannon Lake to manufactures yet.

Are you sure about that? I have been reading that specifics for certain Z390 boards have shown up on Aida64 and details of Biostars Z390 board has already been leaked. The selling point for this chipset is that it has not only compatibility with Coffeelake but the newer 9000 series processors when they come out. Just curious what the board layout on a Evga Z390 Classified is going to look like. I personally am waiting for the 8086 anniversary edition cpu to pair it with.

There has been talk on Z390 since the middle of 2017..........

I'm not saying manufactures are not already working on Z390 mother boards. Just saying you will probably not see them for a bit longer. There is no reason for manufactures to release them for sale to the public until Coffee Lake-S 8 core CPUs & Cannon Lake comes out which is what Z390 is for. From what I have read so far on Z390, Z390 is not going to give you really anything majorly new that Z370 does not already have other than support for 8 core CPUs. Since there are no 8 core Coffee Lake-S or Cannon Lake CPUs yet...........

I am sure the manufactures do not want to cut into their sales of Z370 boards with an early release of Z390 before 8 core CPUs are out that will require Z390.

Until Intel gets their act together with 10nm process technology and gives a release date for Coffee Lake - S 8 core and Cannon Lake CPUs (both on 10nm process technology), I doubt manufactures are going to announce and show their Z390 boards officially.

I would suspect board layout of Z390 will look just like the layout of Z370. Same 1151 socket being used for both but VRM on Z390 will be what is should have been in the first place on Z370. Will have to be to support 8 core + CPUs as the VRM designs used for 6 core Coffee Lake was barley enough at best (read all the stories of Z370 VRMs reaching 100 degree + celius).

Article says "2nd wave of Coffee Lake CPUs in April", it is now May my friend and Intel have not given a release date for them still......
Only AMD released their 2nd gen Ryzen in April but no sign of Intel.

Take this article with a grain of salt.

Intel has had to push back release date for Coffee Lake - S 8 core and Cannon Lake CPUs a couple of times already due to issues they are having with their 10nm manufacturing process and this is holding up the official release of Z390.

Like I said, most likely towards the end of this year or very start of next year for Z390.

Well bet you they come out in July-Sept fall the latest and in limited quantities such that each board be about $500 dollars each.

Maybe, but again don't hold your breath.

Z390 it the enthusiast top line chip set Just like Z370 is now. No reason to cut into their Z370 board sales with Z390 boards until Coffee Lake - S 8 core and Cannon Lake CPUs come out or at least announce official release date.
Intel is getting horrible yields on 10nm right now, they are only sending out engineering samples to manufactures at this point at most.
Intel has been very quiet about Coffee Lake - S 8 core and Cannon Lake because they are having major issues with their 10nm fabrication process for them.
There is absolutely no reason to release Z390 boards until the 8 core CPUs are ready to go. Z370 is handling the current 6 core Coffee Lake - S just fine. Plus they have just released the lower end 3xx chip sets and boards for Coffee Lake - S. They need to milk that cow for a while longer.

As soon as we hear a release date for the 8 core CPUs from Intel, then we will hear about and see the Z370 boards. I do not see that happening until at least the end of this year but more likely start of next year.

The z390 chipset will launch next month with the launch 9th gen coffee lake refresh.
It is still in the rumor mill. I've personally spoke with Asus. They promise the now h370 chipset will work with the new 8 core CPU's, on lunch day.

I'm guessing intel is planning on launching the chipset and cpu's on the same day, is what I'm hearing. Still rumor so take with a grain of salt...

Any updates on whether EVGA will be releasing a z390 mobo in October? Do you guys think EVGA will release one with the coffee lake refresh in October or will be waiting? Have seen leaks from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, etc...

I am curious about this also, will be doing a new build here before the end of the year and certainly want to stay with EVGA.

Same here. I'm waiting to see how much better the z390 will be over the z370 in terms of overclocking. If its not so much then I might just grabbed the z370 and save some money.

I hope EVGA do another Micro ATX board like their Z370.

A Micro ATX Z390 like this, but with some USB 3.1 Gen2 ports on the back and a 3.1 front panel header connector as well would be perfect for my case leaving plenty of space for a bottom radiator and even multi-GPU. Already tempted by the current features like those angled connectors, 2 DIMMS for better memory clocks, and one of the few if not the only good VRMs for this chipset/form factor, among other things, but I should probably wait for the 9900K to appear before doing such an upgrade.

I'd actually prefer 4 memory slots, yes 2 is good for over clocking however if you are that serious into over clocking why not just go full atx? Matx I always saw as a gamer size. Big enough for a GPU and 1 other card and small enough not to take up too much space.

If you're willing to go 4 slot DIMM and want multi-GPU or overclock support, I honestly cannot fathom why anyone would want to go with a Z series board build.
Just make the jump and build an X series computer. You will thank yourself later once you get the mod bug and with to add more and more. The X299 Dark is just too good a board not to want to go that route, and the prices are not that far apart. Hell, the 9700k and 9900k is in X299 CPU price territory. I don't see the point in getting a 16 thread CPU with only 16 lanes for GPU usage. If you know you will be needing all that compute power and SLI/NVLink, just buy a 7820X and X299 Dark and go overclock to your heart's content.
Sorry, just my $0.02. I am looking forward to the new refresh, mainly because my 8350k was a stop-gap to play skyrim and BF3 and BF4 on until the 9700k was released. Im not going to get a new board, I just bought my EVGA Z370 mATX pictured above, and I gotta agree with vernacular... This motherboard is wonderful fun and a great OC'er. AND SO INEXPENSIVE AND COMPACT! <3<3

    Yes, very and usefull.
This only could mean one thing, high end Z390 board with  8+8 pin.
Maybe life time of my watercooling of X99 will be very short.
I don't feel bad to switch from Monoblock to CPU block for such improvement as i7-5820K > i9-9900K.
Because i9-9900K on 5.0GHz is faster than i7-6950X.
I hope if that happen my memory will not be bottleneck, 2666MHz C15.

I hope if that happen my memory will not be bottleneck, 2666MHz C15.

Another image from Jacob's twitter.  Def Z390 Dark.  But look at the two pics and tell me how the board is laid out. I can't figure it out.

The second one clearly shows the white outline typically seen around the edges of the socket and th outer edg of the board.

Thing is that the first pic shows (what I thik would be that same edge but it looks to be further down along the side. maybe I'm stairing at it too long.

And you're correct the 9900K at 5GHZ will stomp the 6950X, the 7900K and my bet is trade blows with the 7920.  It's going to be a CPU like Sandybridge with the only thing hampering it's lifespan being the impendiong PCIE generational migration.

There's a new thread for this. Dunno why they didn't just use this existing thread, but if you were subscribed to this thread and waiting for new pictures here you go.
    Z390 FTW:

    Z390 Dark:

So they got the dual 8 pins and the 24 pin connections clustered together by turning the socket and DIMM slots sideways? With that orientation, better double-check the clearances in your case for everything beforehand.

I'm hoping these boards should have the BIOS-based stress test, right!?
