Disable Vsync, Make sure your PCI-E generation in BIOS is set to the highest Gen3 or Gen4. also in nvidia there are monitor related settings like "fixed refresh rate" and "highest Availble" also make sure power is set to "performance".

EDIT Disable GSYNC

Make sure you download the textures and restart the game after you do so.

as an avid warzone player I can say with confidence it is 100% your CPU that is causing you to not have higher FPS, the 3700x just doesn't cut it for Warzone.  Pick up a 5900x and you will see a large boost to your FPS.

i read lot of nonsense posts and yea, few of them who care how other spending their money which is even bigger fail or nonsense. But come on -NO WAY you cannot get over 120fps with your setup?

Whether he can or not is not the point.  Sure he's most likely CPU bound bottlenecked but why bother if your screen can't handle it presumably speaking but we still don't know what screen the OP is using as he hasn't answered since his initial post.  In your case sure it matters since you have a 360hz screen but if his screen is a 60/120hz, no point going over the refresh rate.  Makes absolutely no sense other than just looking at high FPS numbers, it won't make any performance difference other than run inefficiently via more power consumption and higher thermals.

Seems like something software-related is limiting your FPS.

Warzone is a cpu heavy game. Good cpu with a good oc, high mhz ram with low latency will give you the most fps in warzone. Ofcourse with a good gpu aswell. but ye

Let me start by saying I’m new to PC and am pretty clueless, but am learning as I go.

I just replaced my 3070 with a Evga Ultra Xc3 3090. Made sure all drivers were up to date and let r rip. Only to find Warzone still running at 120 fps (average), which is a 0% gain from the 3070. My goal here is ~200. Any help is appreciated.

Got into the BIOS and saw the ram was only running at 2400. I could not get the bios to accept the xmp profile nor could I change the freq to 4000. I finally got it to change to 3600 thinking that might help. It helped very slightly, maybe 5-10 fps. Is it possible to get full usage out of the ram I have with the mobo I have (specs below)? If so, how?

I have gone through all the settings and changed textures from low to as high as they’ll go and it makes basically no different in frame rate. I’ve messed with several versions of people’s nvidia control panel settings. I’ve probably looked at every YouTube video out there on this and keep seeing the same issues, but no resolutions.

Can anyone help?

Current system specs:
Ryzen 3700X (considering upgrading to a 5900x)
ASRock X570 Taichi
2x T Force Xtreme ARGB 16 gb 4000 MHz
X73 AIO
Evga 3090 Xc3 Ultra
Firecuda SSD (1tb)
Nzxt C1000 gold

Side note: should I upgrade to a 5900x?

This PC will be used as both a gaming and streaming pc.

Not to be a forum troll but your premise of replacing a card I cannot buy (sold out) with a card I cannot afford (can but cannot justify 3k for a GPU), seems 1st world problemish to me.
Major overkill but on a side note you are likely CPU capped. FWIW

To be honest, your cpu wont do much more of a improvement in warzone. the 5900,5950x with BDIE 3800 mhz ram and tight timings/low latency or the 10900k with high mhz and low latency will give you a huge improvement, together with your 3090. That's my biggest advice to you!

Warzone is a CPU-dependent game, and going from a 6600K @4.5GHz OC to a Ryzen 7 5800X, I saw a boost of 30-50fps at any given point paired with my 1080 Ti SC2 at 1440p high textures/low everything else. That being said, the game is still poorly-optimized.

nvidia reflex turned on?

nvidia reflex will cap your fps below the max refresh rate of your screen to reduce input latency.

Well Thanks, was wondering why I was never going over 225fps in cold war while my screen is 240hz, now it makes sense. I have Reflex

You might have an fps lock in your setting or something. Also use dlss, and maybe lower your resolution. That's def weird, most likely a software/ settings issue.
