• Anything special to cover connections?
• Is wrapping the whole thing in bubble wrap and putting it into a box okay?

Anyone else notice under the News>EVGA RTX 30 Series tab the RTX 3080 FTW3 has the black trim and not the red! Did anyone who recently received a card get the black trimmed card or was it the red still? 

Yes, someone in the email queue thread yesterday said the new cards are black now.

I'm soooo damn jealous of all of you. I only started the step up like 3.5 weeks ago. Have a looong wait to go still....

best advice I can give you is to almost forget about it. Don’t check the list of the forums as often and just focus on other things. It will come faster. Goes with the old saying, a watched pot never boils. Trust me. That’s what I did because checking the site and forums and lists every day for two months doesn’t help you at all.

I stopped checking and decided to get/used a 3080 FE in the interim. Once the FTW3 arrived, I had an opportunity to compare the two and flipped the FE for a good profit :-)

My card is on its way! Got a UPS email saying the label is created with the tracking number but never got an email from EVGA saying they received my card or that they are shipping the new one out. Their site now shows the tracking, date they shipped, and status saying Step Up Complete though. Now I just wish I didn’t cheap out for the UPS Ground lol. So those of you are waiting to have the card shipped, check the site as they might not send an email.

Yeah, EVGA won't send an e-mail that your card shipped because UPS is doing it for them. That ends up being EVGA's shipping notification.  I also chose ground, but didn't mind as I'm still missing a part for my new build.  It's tough letting the card sit in a corner, unopened, and just waiting...lol.  Enjoy your card when you get it. 

My card is also on the way today! I paid for ground shipping so it won't be here till next Thursday, but it gives me time to get paid next week and get my new PSU

So I have had my RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra card for about a week - and it works fine. But I should leave this one little warning.  If you decide to attach the included retention bracket, be warned that not all the nuts are captive nuts - which means that you may have one of those little nuts drop inside the card - which is not ideal.

Oh damn, wait so where does it attach to the card? And is it possible to get replacement nuts so that they won't fall into the card? Cause id like to use the bracket but I dont want to short my card

I used the google form the other day and didn't get added to the spreadsheet either. Doesn't appear that anyone is currently tending to it.

Also will any of the 3070 / 3080 lines be available to upgrade to hybrid / hydrocopper or 3080 Ti? Thanks!

Step up queue is getting little to no attention. If you enter the step up right now, I wouldn't doubt it if its Q2 2021 before you get a card.

You have a better chance of getting a card at microcenter, I had to return my Asus 3080 tuf last week, because I'm stuck on this stepup that barely moves... Lol, never again....

Step up queue is getting little to no attention. If you enter the step up right now, I wouldn't doubt it if its Q2 2021 before you get a card.

you will be waiting longer than that, trust me this will be my first and last evga step up

not impatient, just frustrated. I joined a week after launch. I join the queue thinking I might get it November maybe December....then it started looking like January. Then I get my hands on the ftw3 3080 on newegg. Now I'm thinking I will just resell the card for msrp. Its looking like February or March now. Which means I might have to take a loss. I have to wait half a year? The hell with that lesson learned. The queue is getting slower as time goes along. We are going on 60 days since launch and they just got done with the first hour. I can honestly say wouldn't recommended this queue and would be willing to help anyone get a 3080 from other manufacturers at a lesser price

If you wanna look a gift horse in the mouth, be my guest.
Buy an asus 3080 for full price and get pissy when the 3080Ti rolls out in two months and there's no option to step up your $780 or $800 card to a $1000 card for like 200.
But you'd rather sit in queue for a card you don't seem to need and whine and carry on over it all the same just bc you can't do a little scalping on the side while other people are more patiently waiting for their card, no issue.
Could it be quicker? Sure, but EVGA has new cards like the Hydrocopper and Hybrid lines they also need to allocate at least some chips to.
I'm just thankful they don't ask you to send in your current card before your card is even allocated to you.
They damn well could, it's not like there's any market competition on this front to offer a better option.
Because, again, a brand new card for 300-500 off retail while even retail is struggling to get any isnt anything to carry on about.

brah, stop telling people how they should feel your nobody's father. Just because someone have the same point of view they should be on medication ? Whats the point of staying loyal to a company thats make you wait half a year? there will always be something better every so often so what? By the time you get your card the 3080ti super will be out lol

At the end of the day, it’s a graphics card. I already posted this once but I feel there are people that need to see this again. It’s just a computer part. It’s not life changing. Sure it takes a long time. No one is making anyone stay in queue. If you want to leave and buy a different card or a different way, do it. If you don’t want to and want to wait it out like everyone else is, that’s cool too. In my opinion I think this thread definitely needs to relax and realize the situation that has been regurgitated an uncountable amount of times now. The bottleneck is not EVGA, it is NVIDIA. This is easily identified by no other brand including NVIDIA themselves not having cards. But then you have multiple skus for each mfw and they have binning because not every single GPU is good. Not to mention the massive pandemic across the globe that affects processing, manufacturing, sourcing parts, deliveries, etc. This is not a normal year and things are not going to flow as easy or fast as they usually would. Let’s cut everyone a bit of slack and try to understand the bigger picture here.
