Nagorak If stock only comes in once a week then it will certainly be a long wait for anyone who purchased after the first day, or even for some of those who purchased later on the first day. All we can hope for is that things pick up and we start getting inventory drops more like 2 or 3 times per week. That will be the difference between waiting 4 to 6 months, and only 2 or 3 months.
It's also possible that some people may drop out and switch over to the 3070 when it releases.
I expect that step-up drops will likely stay at once a week but drops may have more cards as production ramps up. Either way Day 2 people and on will likely be waiting at least 2 months or more. Apparently this is consistent with previous launches.

Flybye Are they ready to actually hold a card for you when you make a payment? I've been wondering how much downtime I'll have.
Step 2 means a card is allocated to you. Seems to be a 3 business day turnaround from the moment EVGA receives your card to them actually shipping the new one out. Total downtime depends on your choice of shipping to and from EVGA.
Nice. TY.

I read in a few posts that people waited over 4 months to step up when the 20xx series launched, so this will be no different; maybe a bit worse due to the current world situation causing for more demand than ever seen.
Since I am poor I will just need to wait. However I predict that many people will grab the first decent card they can get and still continue with this.. and the market will be flooded with used cards.. no warranty... at still inflated prices. The fact I had to settle for a 2070 Super when I was building my rig before the summer was an indication to me how messed up the GPOU market is.

But for insurance purposes you likely need a value?

You put in the number in CAD that you paid before taxes.

Well the link they provided to more photos, there is a double sticker on the anti static wrap. Which generally is not a thing. It's like the second sticker is sealing a previous sliced sticker and the bent fins... not really what I would consider cool.

Call them up.. see if you can get to the front of the line and get a replacement ASAP. This is exactly what I was afraid of. Do not just accept it.. you have no idea what else might be wrong.

Just to add more info. I have not tested the card. I immediatly stopped opening the card upon inspection through the film. The box both retail and shipping were completely unscathed. I am bring this to light becuase I feel like if I had to RMA it at a later date they would say I caused all this heat sink damage. This sucks as I dont even have a card to use my computer with at all.

richardwu190 Hi Juicer-19, it seems both of us got the Step 1 email at exactly the same time! Hope we will be getting the same batch of cards soon.
We're getting close! I'm guessing we will see our cards by the end of the month. Looks like 2 weeks if they keep up the amount they dished out today.
So, we're not exactly getting close. Not to burst the bubble, but I got off the phone with customer service, one of the guys that reviews the Step-Up requests, and told him about the thread and whatnot and was saying how there were about 20+ people that got to step 2 according to the thread. Well, he mentioned that it's unofficial which of course, it's a "community ran" forum but he also told me that there were over 1000 requests within the first hour. So just because we see a few names that got theirs, that doesn't mean that any of us are any closer than we think but of course I'd like to stay optimistic. I got in at 10:19 AM on the release day so here's to hoping I see that step 2 within the next few weeks or so.
I was probably at least 100 of those requests before I got through! Hahaha. Just by looking at the times of the people who are on the list, it seems like the website was not working at all for about 20 minutes from 9:50 to about 10:10. I'm going to keep the optimism even if I have to wait a few months more. The 2080 is still the best gaming I've ever personally experienced and I've only had this PC build for 3 months. So it's all still super new to me. I can definitely understand those who might be feeling down about the wait if they're not able to enjoy what they have right now, though.

I added a just for fun expected step 2 date calculation to the sheet.
It calculates the current number of step2s, assuming everyone before the last guy that got it also got theirs. Then divides that by the number of days between 9/17 and whenever the last step 2 was received. That gives us an estimated Step2s/Day. Then it uses that rate to figure out when it thinks each place in line will get theirs.

Really hoping that B-stock card is a one off and not a pattern. Get that RMA'd asap and ask for cross shipping since you don't have a card to use in the meantime.

I would but RMA is 404'd and I don't really have the funds to front 809$ on thier mistake. I emailed support in the meantime.

I mean, could be a card that almost shipped on launch, got fixed, retested, and resealed. They did mention catching the problem before any went out. Could just be the first few out in the wild have this "problem" Obviously is a concern though, and clarification from Jacob/EVGA is needed before anything.

It's my understanding that there are a certain amount of cards allocated from what EVGA gets in to step up, not that they are sending people in step-up RMA'd/damaged cards. If that were the case, they would/should note that up front and it would probably be a lot less popular.

This could be it. The Caps on the back are absolutely digusting too. I will post a picture momentarily. This is def. a hand solder job vs machine.

For any fellow Canadians in queue: I sent out my original card (2080 Super) via Canada Post this morning and I sent it “ExpressPost”; It cost like 87 dollars (with 800 dollars coverage insurance) gonna take at least 4 days minimum, but i paid for the expedited service for the 3080 so hopefully I get it next week. Super unlucky @NightRaynes :((( i hope you get it fixed ASAP.

Glad I'm not the first in line, lol you think evga would give you fresh production cards for your stepup, meanwhile they their first batch or few batches were caught with the 6 popscap... Best to be 3 to 4 months in and grab a new card with most bugs worked out... Lol

Awesome. Thank you for that. Is it possible to calculate the Step 2 date without including the weekends? I don't think they are responding on Saturday and Sunday. Just a thought. Much appreciated for creating this.

Thank you for this. Seems to me your more optimistic then I was. However I am late feb.. lol still. I gotta make a list of partner brands and models I am ok with and see what gets to me first I guess. The list starts with EVGA FTW3 for 80 and 90 for sure.. but.

That doesn't make any sense. Weekends still exist. Based on the small sample of the last 2 batches, it seems they are going to be sending emails on mondays, so the next monday after the "Expected Date" is the bes guess. But it's also still a horrible guess. It assumes the list is a random proportionate sample of people based on when they signed up, and it assumes they are going to keep releasing cards to step-up at the same rate. Neither of these things is probably true, and both assumptions will probably very wildly. That what it is "Just for fun."
