That was a nice bit of movement today.  More than the previous 2, although it's still only 9 minutes worth in 2 weeks (gotta take into account that even though we started to get in queue on the 17th, the card itself wasn't released until later).  

I mean, realistically though we're expecting the day one stuff to take a few months, right?

Guess EVGA just got their weekly 3 minutes of step up requests through to step two. Based off that, looks like I would need to wait 3 weeks and I'm technically only 8 minutes away in the queue lol. 

Ya I was trying to see how far into it they got.  I was actually hoping they would have finished the first 30 minutes today.  Maybe next week... maybe the week after.  Oh and no I'm not in the first half hour.  It's just with the talk of larger shipments and "thousands of cards" coming in.  It seemed that we should see more movement.

Ya that made me feel pretty disappointed with the lack of movement on this round of step ups, and makes me feel pretty pessimistic they will even make it through the first half hour of step ups next week.  

It looks like you're going to be in on the next batch. You won't even have to wait a full month. Some people are looking at a 3+ month wait. And some people can't even find a card to buy.

I would consider you one of the lucky ones. Disappointed and pessimistic are no the terms I would be using if I was in your spot in the queue..

That's how I feel, just sitting back with popcorn reading all the rage on reddit and here. Chilling with my 2080 Super until the 3080 comes in play.

Someone check my math. We have made it 23 minutes into the list in 18 days. Thats 1.277 minutes per day. So for me who ordered 7 days after it opened (9/24), I will need to wait 21.59 years.

Math is wrong.  We've only made it 11 minutes into the list since 9:14 was the earliest (that we know of) and 9:25 is the latest as of today.  But also consider the sheer density of 9/17 versus the other days.  You could easily combine 5 or 6 days and still be less than 9/17.  With stock seemingly being increased for the Step-Ups (based on how large 10/5 Step 2's covered), it's more likely everyone through 9/30 will get theirs before the end of the year.  (226 people waiting from 9/17@9:25am though 9/30.  Avg 15 cards per week fulfillment (most likely more if EVGA states increased production, then increase to 20), then ~15 weeks to complete which would cover most everyone and I'm sure there will be weeks more than 15 or 20). 

Jesus, now there is a queue to order from the evga store... I wonder which email will I get first, the step up or to buy one outright... I wonder if I could resist the temptation to buy one full price if the one to buy gets first lol....

Considering I'm the last person on the Step Up list (as of the time of this post), but that I set a notification early on for the card I'm eyeing, this may be a real possibility. I didn't actually expect there to be "thousands" of cards arriving this month as Jacob said, I expected more than a handful a week!

With all the people buying cards to get into the step-up line I'm really not sure.  Since notification queue for retail orders is working the way it is.  It all depends on when you pressed that notification button.  I'm tempted to say you might get a retail notification sooner...  I don't know entirely how EVGA works but based on some of the retail I worked in... it's just how I see it.
 
They could have had thousands of cards.  There isn't really any clear indication of how many go to step-up.  Beyond the fact there were multiple shipments to retailers last week versus one step-up pass.  The indication from Jacob seemed to pretty clearly say the next step-up phase would be next week (again).  Yet also again... multiple shipments to retailers this week and I think he indicated some stock on the EVGA front sometime this week.
 
So my assumption is there are more cards moving through retail by far than going to step-up.  Which honestly makes sense if you think about it.  

Are they ready to actually hold a card for you when you make a payment?  I've been wondering how much downtime I'll have.

It annoys me that EVGA could just tell us this info, but they don't.

From what I've read in other threads, EVGA did do this in the past and stopped.  I'm guessing people still complained in some form (probably the queue was taking too long and can see just how many cards are truly allocated, etc.).  Can't make everyone happy.  I'm totally fine being in the dark as I know I'm guaranteed one, but this queue helps a bit.
