This is still the reason plus drought in Taiwan.... can’t fault them for it . It’s not only effecting evga but everything that’s computer related.

I'm number 231 on that list, starting to get excited. I will say though, the 2070S is a marvelous card, and has acquitted itself nicely at my somewhat obscure res. 3840x1200, Gameplay was smooth. Not facemelting by any stretch, but definitely better than the Vega 56 it replaced and has served me well while I wait for this card.
Here's hoping I have the card in hard by the end of April.

Fabs require water for lots of things. Read a few articles, this has all been discussed

We Europeans have not seen any drop since mid December. :D But I'm not complaining, I've got myself a very decent XC3 2080 Super registered for step up that I'm using since end of September. :) I don't know exactly what the situation in US is at the moment, but here in Europe there isn't a single card available on any store, even old gens are all out of stock. Whenever a RTX 30xx card drops, it's 1,5x / 2x MSRP. And used cards, even several years old ones, are selling at nearly what was their brand new prices, sometime even higher... I really do hope this mess will end soon, and to be honest I'm glad that with EVGA's step up program I'm pretty much unimpacted by this.

Just an update, I previously posted about how I went ahead and paid more for a 3080 (paid $1600 to a scalper, sorry); and was working on selling my 2070S. Folks were really against using ebay, and I get it, but it worked out in my case. I got a little over $800 for my 2070S, and I also sold an old 1080ti to a resale website that buys used cards for $325. So basically I paid $475 for my 3080 FTW3 Ultra once all is said and done. It doesn't always work this way, but the severe shortage of GPU's worked in my favor for the fact someone was willing to pay $800 for a used 2070S.
If you're gonna do eBay, only accept paypal. Mark your item as no returns. Don't set a reserve price (eBay charges for that), it'll get enough bids. I did setup a buy it now price, but ended up getting more than that. Also use eBay to buy your shipping - doing this automatically added my tracking info, and once delivery was confirmed it released the paypal hold. Can the guy still come back and try to do a claim? Sure, but good luck, I have the $ in my account and will fight it, and worst case scenario lose my ebay and paypal accounts.

Yeah, I got mine probably two weeks after the 30's released when I realized I'd not be getting one anytime soon. Spent like $550 on the 2070 super, enrolled it in the BS stepup program, and now 5 months later seeing it's still on day one... Glad I bought a scalped card, but definitely wish I'd have found one at retail. All in all I'm happy with my result either way.

man, 3080TI will be even harder to get your hands on so you may be stuck with nothing, Just stay in line brother. What im hoping for is that EVGA gives us the option to upgrade to a 3080TI once we reach the front of the line in step up, that would be amazing.

3080ti step up definitely won't be as crowded as the 3080. You will have to have an eligible card to use step up and stock has been bone dry for a few months now.
Tons of people walked into best buy and bought a 2070super without even thinking when it came to the 3080 step up. That's obviously not going to be the case anymore.

You traded in 2 very high demand GPUs and added a extra $475 and think you got a deal? lolol Obviously it's your money and your GPU, but giving up a 1080ti, 2070s, and $475 in cash is a hard no for me... even without the risk of dealing with ebay. Also, ebay doesn't give a crap if you mark your items as no returns. If you get hit with a chargeback you will lose your money... or lose your account.
