Did a quick search and did not find anyone post about undervolting their 3090 Ti.

Anyone care to share?

Trial and error. Each card will react differently to voltage changes and people's acceptable expectation are different. Use PX1, adjust your voltage and see how it works for you.

Had good success undervolting - with two different profiles on ftw3 black.

Scenario 1. Low draw games with minimal benefit to mem bandwidth:

725mv @1630mhz core and 625mhz mem (which is 10ghz) = 160w. Undervolted as far as she’ll go- not much power draw benefit by dropping more core speed. There is a voltage / frequency threshold for the memory - anything under the curve throttles the vram to 625mhz - unless you boost lock in px1.

(((((Draw gets really low here - when the vram drops to 625mhz (which is basically idle 2d mode I think) as the voltage : FBVdd (that you’d typically only be able to manually change with classified tool on a kingpin) - drops memory voltage as well as memory controller voltage in 2d mode - and takes about 60w off the total.)))). With normal speed memory - it sits in and around 220w.

Scenario 2. Power savings but still the most performant gpu for anything else mode:

875mv @1995mhz and +999 memory = 280-300w. Needs boost lock in px1 - or vram will throttle to 625mhz - as here again it is below threshold.

Haven't witnessed this mem threshold behaviour in prior ga102’s. For example on my KP - best I can manage is 200w at 725mv (1630mhz -250mem, classified sliders all to the left save nvvdd on auto) - and mem will not run in 2d mode without taking core speed with it (very much not worth the energy savings - TBPD runs 50w though).

875mv at 2000 is pretty damn impressive.

Indeed. The quality of the 3090ti silicon is quite good. This one will hit 2160 fairly steady at 1050 - so it’s not a super high clocker compared to some - but it matches volts with my 3090kp at 1995mhz.

I have: 910mv at 1995mhz +750mem , not real Extreme but plenty stable. Port Royal 14.3 k at 308 watts, 280watts to pin 7680x1440@144hz -144 fps simracing. 54 fps MSFS at same resolution ultra settings 340 watts. Temperature is under 60 everywhere.

    I have my FTW3 Ultra undervolted to 2130 MHz @ 1v.

Where can I find an undervolting guide to PX1? I know how to do Afterburner, type in a negative core you want boosted, curve edit drag voltage up to target core speed, +MHz is indicated, click checkmark. PX1 I don't understand, and YouTube is of no help. I would use Afterburner, but I need the custom fan curves of PX1 because the FTW3 I just bought has a defragging HDD on fan #2 that needs to stay above 80% to not make me commit suicide.

You can set up custom fan curves with Afterburner as well. Even a form of asynchronous if you unlink the fans in Afterburner.  The voltage curve in Precision is clunky. You have to set a point, select save, then select another point, then save rinse and repeat. With Afterburner you're free to set as many points as you want, click apply and a valid curve with be applied even if you've set the points incorrectly.  By valid, I mean one that will work with the point adjusted correctly, not necessarily stable.

Can I set the undervolt in Afterburner, then PX1 will see it, click save in PX1 and then disable Afterburner and it will stick as a PX1 profile?

    UPDATE

Apparently yes. I saved the curve in PX1 and it is working fine.

RTX 3090 Ti FTW3, stock "aggressive" fan curve, locked at 2100 core, +500 memory, 0.95v, maintaining 65c at 350 watts.

My RTX 3080 Ti XC3 at 100% fans, locked at 1920 core and +500 memory, 0.862v maintained 75c at 350 watts, and was much, muCH, MUCH LOUDER.
