Ha-ha that's nice.. but really I wasn't looking to do that. The point was the talk is more serious on ending this time change thing and that would need to be done by the government.

I don't like the idea of DST either, sure I get that the hours of daylight shrink and grow across the seasons, but I don't see why that means we need to move it around, still have the same amount of light, regardless of it's it's 7 AM to 6 PM, or 8AM to 7 PM, or whatever.
Also wonder if daylight really has a huge effect on much now, given how easy it is to deploy artificial lighting. Granted there are some cases where it's really important, but in those cases, why pay so much to the clock if the light is the main factor.

I live in Arizona and we do not change our clocks, Mountain Standard Time year round. Love it!

Not to worry, I don't think a lot of people even realize that Arizona is an outlier in regards to staying on standard time year round. The drawback I have is that I WFH, and all of my meetings are scheduled based on a location that does change their clocks, so the daily meeting that was at 7 am through last week now starts at 6 am my time... So I sort of get the DST in reverse (my meetings spring back and fall forward). :)
