I noticed but this one looks refreshing especially the battle at the end of the trailer? And the smoothness of the transformation. I think this.director is a fan and knows what the fans want.

Not sure about this one.
When I saw Micheal Bay isn't directing and saw the flat front on Optimus Prime in truck mode I was sold on wanting to see it. Unfortunately the Micheal Bay ones had too much action going on screen at once and especially in 3d showing it was just at a level that caused headaches.

I would love to see a non CGI (or so limited it doesn’t look out of place) Transformers movie if they did it in a modern computer assisted take on the 80’s cartoon style to honor the shows roots. I have watched several of the DC animated movies over the years that keep the art style of the Batman Animated Series and Superman cartoons and if they did something like that to look Generation 1 I would be incredibly happy. It’s probably one those things they could spend $25-30 million and make a movie that pulls in ten times as much as the cost.
