Although SSDs are becoming popular for use in notebooks/laptops larger size SSDs can still be expensive so larger 2.5 inch mechanical HDs are still in demand. I personally like the fact that Toshiba managed to improve performance in this drive compared to it's previous 1TB offering.

    My preference is WD. I'm sure Toshiba is probably good too. I don't know the breakdown ratio between the two though.
