If you connect a pwm fan to the AIO wires will the fan be controlled by the card or run at a constant speed?

How about if I connect a 3 pin DC, will this type of can be controlled by the card also?

If you hook up to the AIO wires, it will be controlled by the card and card temperature as that runs off the splitter to the card fan.  I think you might need to get one of the adapters for a PWM, though.

I have splitter that works on 3 pin / 4 pin

So if I connect gentle typhoons (3pin DC), the card will be able to control the fanspeed somehow?

Thanks for the tips! I pretty much am doing the little brother to your build. I have a Corsair 240 and a single 980 Ti reference. It's great to know I don't have to physically modify the shroud. Now I just need to find out where to mount the GPU radiator (my front has my H105 and there is no clearance at the top due to my mATX mobo). Maybe in the empty fan mounts on the PSU side of the case?

I agree reference looks awesome!

Np!  Let me know if you have any more questions.  I will say that you will need allen wrench 1.5mm and 2mm heads to remove the shroud.  I can't say for sure where you can fit that rad, but anywhere it fits should be fine.  In front of the card against the h105 should be fine honestly.  The efficiency is in the rad itself and solid airflow through it, free hanging in the case is worth it for the massive cooling difference.

Do you know the exact length of the hoses on the cooler? I want to see if it can reach from my GPU to the fan mounting placement on the PSU side of the Air 240. And the dimensions of the plate to see if it can fit through the rubber grommets haha.

The exact length of the Hybrid Cooler is 14 inch.

I have modded the Hybrid Cooler with Corsair H75 so I can keep the same reference looks but cool the GPU with AIO.

chizow have done exactly same as what I have done. I have modded little bit more due to annoying pump noise from AIO.

If you are OK with pump noise chizow's way is the best way to keep the same reference looks.

Yuna do you think this AIO have a compatible copper plate with the EVGA AIO?

http://www.overclock.net/...-oem-gen-2-premium-aio

I think it looks compatible with Gen 2 AIO cooler on the link you provide.

Corsair H75 is used same copper plate that used on Gen2 AIO cooler

just unscrew and replace copper plate?

other than watching for the liquid spill, do I need to worry about anything else?

Really upset that I bought the ACX 2.0 Cooler instead of waiting for this one.

ACX cooler runs much louder than the stock cooler at the speeds required to keep a 200/400 overclock below 85, and it has an annoying whistling at specific fan speeds. My case is small and doesn't have the most optimal airflow so that probably doesn't help.  I underestimated the benefits of the exhaust on the original cooler.

Has me tempted to just sell the whole kit and buy a an aftermarket 980 Ti.

May I ask, HOW did you mod the reference cooler to fit the Corsair AiO? I want to do the same thing, because stock on the Hybrids is terrible :(

14" from the side of the card.  This thread is admittedly long, but it is well worth reading through the whole thing.  There is a lot of information here.

The stock is made by Asetek.  Asetek also makes the coolers for Corsair, so he changed the mounting plate.  If you are referring to the shroud, he removed the clear 'glass' on the top of the card and ran the hoses out of there.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your question, though.  Did reading through the thread not address your specific query?

Well its going to be close for me.. I already prefabbed the rad space and façade'. It's right at 14 inches lol...I read a few places on reddit it was 16.5..

I'm mounting the rads on the bottom right.

The EVGA hybrid is a pump from H75 (presumably Asetek 869, used in this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1548482/asetek-869-alienware-oem-gen-2-premium-aio ) and the radiator unit from a H50/55.

Really wonder why they cheaped out on the radiator...

Typically people use a 240 rad per every 2 gpus in custom loops and these maxwell draw far less energy than Kepler so I think they figured any bigger than 120 is overkill.

If they don't get in some soon I'm thinking of just doing titanx blocks and loop them on a swiftech 240x and call it done.

Overall extremely happy with the mod, temps hit 53C max on both cards OC'd to 1404MHz

What about the noise? Is there some buzz of the pump?
chizow
Another thing I noticed is that overclocking in SLI is much more difficult with all of these different boosts, voltages, clocks, ASIC qualities.  It really took a lot of tweaking to get stable and I ran into some really odd behavior as well.  Basically, under certain settings, one card would go to max voltage no matter what (1.237mV)

Did you try to flash modded BIOS to get higher overvoltage like 1.27 or 1.31V? If your ASIC is <80% this may help. For example my TX(ASIC=70%, still on air) passes FS extreme/ultra on ~1480-1490 boost now, while on 1.24V it is only capable of ~1420-1430. Of course temps are too high even on max rpm, so I also want to go hybrid/AIO.

Hey I did end up using MBT to tweak the BIOS, the first thing I did was mimic my NVDA ref card's settings to mirror the EVGA SC's settings.  The main difference was the boost profile, which I immediately saw was VERY conservative on the NVDA ref card at only 1391 Max Boost.  I think this forced the card to unnecessarily overvolt at any speeds above this and become unstable, as I would get crazy huge increases in voltage when I clocked higher than 1400MHz on the NVDA ref card.

I also increased Power Limit to 300W (120%) on both cards and increased max voltage to 1275mV.  That's as far as I'm going to take it for now.  Overall very happy still, but not being able to break 1400MHz on both in SLI but being able to easily pass 1450MHz on either was bothering me, so now I'm happy.

Now I'm getting 1455MHz on both, one of the two cards is showing voltage limited at 1.234V which isn't close to the 1.275V limit I set.  Seems like a good balance for now as I'm not showing power limited except for a few spikes here and there.

Yep this is exactly right, ShadowYuna had an extra H75 lying around so he transplanted the mounting bracket which is held to the cold plate/pump assembly by ~10 screws.  He said his EVGA pump was noisy, I'm happy with mine though.  As much as I would love to have a fat 38mm rad in there, it would pose its own problems for me since I've got a tight/flush fit as it is in front of my GPUs.

Realistically, EVGA or Corsair could just sell that mounting bracket for cheap or in Corsair's case, in combo with one of their AIOs, but obviously they don't want to do that because they want to sell you the whole kit.

so my pump have a leak, I tried running it with a jumped gnd and 12v from psu. any chance that evga will honor an rma? I already have it registered on my profile.

can I send the pump unit only or do I have to send in everything? fans, shroud, rubber stopper, screws etc? @evga_jacobf

edit: I also tried to squeeze the tubes to see if I can see a coolant leak, it's definitely leaking fluid even when not running and just receiving pressure from squeezing the tubing

edit2: upon closer inspection I see that there's a gap between the pump plastic? it's where the liquid is leaking out of

At this point, I think its better just to do custom loops. O well, I had my hopes up for the EVGA thing and save a few bucks. Looks like 800 dollar loop it is.

Nice, This is exactally what I just did with 2 TX blocks and an extra rad. Temps should be lower this way anywho.. Too bad they lacked with stock on these.. I literally camped newegg and the evga site with F5 refreshers for a week. I'm happy to pay the extra money just to not have to see the "empty cart" or "notify" page ever again.

Yea, it's a better choice I guess since I can change out the block if needed.

Do you think EVGA will accept just RMAing the AIO system (pump and rad)? Or do I have to send in the whole "kit"?

Re: The Official Titan X and HYBRID Water Cooler (All in One) for GTX 980 Thread 2015/07/27 12:17:19 (permalink)
I just installed the EVGA Hybrid cooling kit this weekend on my 980Ti reference card, was lucky to get one quick enough when in stock, and everything is working great with one exception.  The power lead that goes directly from the pump and out of the card to power the fan on the radiator supplies no power.  I just hooked that fan to a different header and everything is fine, but what's up with that power lead not working?  The the blower fan on the graphics card and the pump work so there is power right there where that power lead is attached.  I opened an incident ticket with EVGA to see if I missed something somewhere (a hardware or software switch or something like that) but the only response I got was an RMA number and there is no way I'm sending it back after fully installing it just because the external fan can't be powered.

So, I'm either missing something really stupid, or quality control is all over the board on these things.  Honestly, I'm better off this way as I can control that radiator fan's speed from the motherboard... as long as that failed power line doesn't lead to some other short in the pump unit itself.  Time will tell.

I was almost ready to place the order for Titan X Hybrid at Amazon as I can not buy from EU store (they do not ship to my country :-( ) and it's really annoying to sit and wait for a card to be in stock in official shop.
But now I'm not sure if I should do it. Two month - that insane!

So can someone from EVGA tell us is this real to buy 980 Ti Hybrid or Titan X Hybrid from Amazon?

Re: Titan X and 980 hybrid cooler official thread 2015/08/08 03:47:38 (permalink)
I've just bought the 980 AIO to go on my Titan X, can someone who has done this confirm should I follow the 980 instructions for fitting or the Titan X instructions, I guess Titan X right?

Hey Guys,

i am a lucky owner of 2 Titan X SC and was lucky enough too, to get my hands on 2 Hybrid cooler Kits for the gtx 980 directly from evga europe shortly after the Kit was released.

Because that my whole system is build in the colours Black and White, i was not so lucky with the 980 shrouds on the titan cards and decided to gave them away to a painter.

Now that iam recieved the new shrouds back in a black and white looking, finished to install the Kit on my two lovely cards i wanted to share with you some pictures.

Have fun

Really hope these come back in stock. I want one of these coolers for my GTX980, but I keep missing it. I guess I could always try to find the Corsair HG10 N980.

Just letting you know I'll be throwing up 2 980Ti kits hybrid kits on Fleabay within the next 24 hours (Will work on Titan X & 980's as well. I have 2 980 kits on my Titan X's). I had 2 Titan X hybrids on pre-order from Amazon for almost 2 months and they shipped the day after I snagged these off the EVGA store since I was about to just buy 2 SC models instead (yes I'm going 4 way SLI). Will only start the listing at normal MSRP prices & shipping (will most likely go for more though)

I believe it is 10 posts before you can put in links.  Just add a space in after the https:// and make a note of it.

I'm so happy with the AIO Hybrid cooler for my Titans. Just look at those idle temps :)
