unmeaty I wonder if you can get that plate somehow and make it work with the existing 1080 AiO on a Titan...that would be sweet.
Sure you can -- buy an EVGA GTX1080 FTW Hybrid and remove the cooler and plate and install them onto your Titan XP :D But then the plate may not completely cover all 12GB of GDDR5X on the Titan XP - ugh.

Heh. Yeah, I suppose I could. So I'm curious, do you think that could be a heat problem? I've never had issues with vram overheating with any EVGA AiO kits I've used, and I've used a lot. I know this one isn't specifically made for the Titan, but like I said I used all of the thermal pads from the original shroud so it should be as well cooled as it was originally with just the reference blower. I'm thinking this particular batch of memory might just not OC to 11000Mhz without issues, but I suppose it could be heat. I don't think the vrm is faulty, it seems to work fine now that I reset the memory clock. I guess time will tell. I've just always associated the square-like artifacts with bad memory, and that's what I got. It was an hour or two into each play session, but two distinctly different titles, the Skyrim mod Enderal which barely uses the GPU (32 bit title, more CPU intensive) and ARMA 3. I know it can be overclocking too, so I backed the mem clock down and last night played for a couple of hours with no issues. The GPU temp reports as 45-50C under load even overclocked, so there's no temperature issue there.

What tool are you using to overclock? With either EVGA Precision OC or MSI Afterburner, you must set the power limit to 120% and the max temp to 92C. Make sure you select power limit as the priority. Then try overclocking the memory a little at a time until you get to the 11000Mhz range (+500Mhz memory overlock). And for now, to simplify troubleshooting, do NOT overclock the GPU. It will automatically boost on it's own and that's fine, but don't induce a manual overclock. Let me know how it goes.

I use MSI AB for overclocking, and I do set the power target to 120% and the temp target to 92. I use two profiles, they auto switch between factory settings in 2D to the +150 core offset (and previously +500 Mem) for 3D. I use a custom fan profile to account for the water cooling, basically ramping up the fans at 50C. I'll take the core OC off and see if it continues to work like it did last night. And you're right, it boosts itself up to 1865Mhz without any tweaking. I just like seeing that 2.0Ghz on the screen, it makes me feel like I won something :) . I guess I'll start at +100 on the memory and go from there, see how it goes. It's not easy to troubleshoot because it doesn't happen immediately even at +500. Plus I have other mitigating factors, a soundblaster ZxR with dodgy drivers, Windows 10 and Nvidia updates in general, and an Oculus Rift and Vive that seem to create issues if I leave them plugged in. First world problems for sure.

I think GPU-Z gives the score. The latest version now supports Titan XP: https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2764/techpowerup-gpu-z-v1-10-0
But W1zzard still doesn't have ASIC for them. He is still working on it. I even thought it now said that ASIC is not supported when you try?

I'll try it out when I get home from work. If I receive an official ASIC score, I'll post it.

I already tried yesterday with gpu-z 1.10 and can confirm that ASIC scores are not given for either of my two Titan Xp cards.

Just an update - I played for a couple of hours last night with my core clock at +150 and the memory clock at factory, still working fine. The overclocked memory seems to be the culprit for the freezing with artifacts. I suppose I could try increasing the mem clock exponentially but I'm not terribly concerned about it. If it keeps performing fine I'll try and see if I can OC the memory a bit.

Maybe one of the moderators here would know the answer. Like Mr. Johnson. Or, perhaps Mr. Gordon would know. He is a wealth of knowledge on these subjects. That's usually who I look for to weigh in on this stuff. Not to forget about any of the other folks, like Scarlet-Tech or HeavyHemi. Most know more than I do and that's why I hang out here. And Hallowen, I almost forgot. Mr. Moore and Mr. Cavenaugh.

Have fun and unlock the voltage. Link is a tutorial on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBEGsoQV_qk
Nice!, But Be Careful..........
Yeah, I will. I mostly run my cards stock because I don't put them under water. Only my CPU is under water, and that's because there are some simple, yet effective, systems for CPU cooling. I like to keep things as simple as possible, yet get a big bang. I run a large case with big fans (the bigger the fan, the quieter it is) and push a lot of air through it. I keep my house around 72F, which the computers seem to love. Since I don't put my cards under water I have to buy bigger, faster cards so that I can run them at stock speeds. Hence, the Titan X (Pascal). Even with just one Titan XP my system is much quieter than when I was running a 3-way SLI of GTX 980 Classifieds. And, that single Titan XP outperforms that 3-way SLI of GTX 980 Classifieds. When I add the second one to the system, it will be even quieter because neither card will be working that hard and I will be looking at some pretty nice eye candy as I make my way through the Fallout 4 wasteland (or whatever other game has caught my attention). My favorite game is a toss-up between Skyrim and Oblivion. You can get lost for days in those games. But, I digress ...

Well, Being an Extreme Overclocker who is NEVER satisfied with the Latest and Greatest Available to me and ALWAYS waiting for the Next Series to be released (Volta), I have always ran my Graphics Cards testing them to the Limit cooled under 10C Chilled Water and Now After having Fun for a few weeks Gaming/Overclocking and Benchmarking to my satisfaction with my Two Nvidia Titan X Pascal SLI setup, I have Found the ONE THING I really Like about buying from Digital River/Nvidia..... Their 30 Day Full Refund with No Questions Asked REALLY WORKS!! Now I have the Funds again while waiting for possibly a GTX 1080ti / GP100 Titan X / GV100 ( ), But THIS time I want the EVGA BRAND on my Graphics Cards!

DirtySouthWookie Glad I'm skipping this generation! (First skip in years) The 1080s are meh compared to the 980tis and are absolutely not worth an upgrade. Now that I've heard there will be no 1080ti? SUPER glad I am skipping. Maybe go AMD next year? Nvidia hasn't been doing as well as they used to and I've lost interest with all their BS and lies.
Exactly, when Volta comes out, they're going to cry very hard. If you already have 980TIs, stick with them until Volta arrives, and that's where you're upgrade will be.

Just got mine yesterday. Oh my my my... It runs at a sustained 1825 MHz boost clock without any overclocking. With the air cooler at 80% (about as loud as I can stand it), it tops out around 82 C. We really need the EVGA Hybrid solution for this!

You jumped the gun too fast. The GTX1080Ti is not coming out now and the leaked specs were faked. Too bad, so sad. Guess we'll just have to wait until later next year if ever... By the time the GTX1080Ti is released, Volta will be ~6 months out...lol

Yeah just a heads up, the memory doesn't overclock well on these Titan X Pascals. +300 gives me a nice boost. If I try +350, +400, +500 etc., my FPS actually drops even if I'm not artifacting.
As for the core, i have yet to reach the limit and I'm at +220. I've seen it hit as high as 2090MHz, but until I get it liquid cooled, I really don't know what the max core on mine is. Still, I'm impressed it almost hits 2100MHz with no voltage increase as of yet.

That's normally how it always is, and it's proven again and again that the next release doesn't provide that big of a margin to consider jumping the bandwagon to buy the next cards. The 1080 is roughly 20-30% faster than a 980TI. 1080 might be faster, but the 980TI would provide smoother gameplay, IMO . The same result(s) will happen when the 1080TI comes out. The one thing that will stand out for the TI's (always) is the extra bandwidth and larger bit rate. Here are some results for your enjoyment: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1080-vs-Nvidia-GTX-980-Ti/3603vs3439
The 980 vs 780TI is even funnier: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-vs-Nvidia-GTX-780-Ti/2576vs2165 Let's not forget also what's going to happen to all you Titan XP guys when Volta does come out.

Titan would have been out almost a year when Volta comes out so I'd be okay if I had bought a Titan...and I would have if there was a hybrid for it.
